"If you’re looking for a place to stay that’s close to concert venues, amusements parks, and restaurants outside the city then Avonlea Cottages is the go. If you’re ever short and in need of supplies, there’s a grocery store just across the street. As for the cottage itself, it’s pretty good for the price you pay, you basically get everything you need for a short or long stay. Only thing I would like to mention is that there’s no strong kitchen ventilation so if you plan on cooking inside, beware of setting off the smoke alarm. But that’s about it, everything else was perfect, there’s also the hot tub near the office, it’s very cozy to stay at especially around fall time. 10/10 would come back again if there was ever an event nearby."

"Clean room. Friendly staff. There is no hot tub on site as shown in pictures. Room 106 overlooking parking lot a bit noisy with people coming and going and a very loud ice maker. Nice simple breakfast and lovely home made muffins. Loved the coffee maker in the reception."

"3 friends and I stayed here for Sommo festival weekend 2026 and really enjoyed ourselves! It was spacious, clean, and well maintained. The price was super reasonable and it was only about a half hour drive to Cavendish. We had everything we needed. The wifi was good, I had a four hour long teams meeting without issue for my masters. Would stay again! 💕"

"The house was very clean and well appointed. My family and I were very impressed with how beautifully the house was decorated. The pool and hot tub were well used despite the rain. Everything we needed in the kitchen was there. I would highly recommend this property to anyone and would give it a 5 star rating. Also, my thanks to Tyson who was always quick to reply to my questions. Many wonderful memories were made to last a lifetime !"

"The hosts have thought of everything. Nice linens, lots of towels - bath and beach. Comfortable beds and furniture. A/C and TV in all the rooms in the house. And the sunroom!!!! Honestly, the jewel of the property! And in our opinion the beaches in this area are the best in PEI. The Willow Bakery in Kensington and a second location in Stanley Bridge in a refurbished church should be on your visit list as well as Knead a Brake Bakery and Bike in Kensington. We are a family of 8 and had lots of room to spread out and have our own corners or come together to play games on the rainy nights."

"The cottage was heavenly. It backs right onto the water. What a beautiful, peaceful place! We loved the scenery, the semi-private beach just a 2 minute walk away and the wrap-around deck. The hosts were friendly, easy to contact and responded to our inquiries promptly. I would highly recommend this cottage."
