"This is a lovely house with beautiful views and tastefully decorated. We were two couples and the house was a comfortable size with two larger bedrooms with en suite baths. Make sure to get groceries at Jelsa on the way in, and note that on Sundays most grocery stores even in Jelsa are closed. The house is located above a quiet village, away from most tourist activities, which for us was perfect! There are pretty beaches and great wine tasting opportunities nearby. Jelsa is a charming, larger town just 25 minutes away, with Hvar town about 50 minutes away. We loved our stay here and appreciated the beauty and seclusion of the house! "

"Villa Lapis is a beautiful conversion of three stone buildings with lots of fabulous outside space that works perfectly for families or large groups. It exceeded our expectations! The views are spectacular and the location extremely peaceful and we would all happily return. We particularly loved the large outside dining area, drinks on the roof terrace soaking up the views, relaxing in the hammock and the size of the well equipped kitchen and indoor dining area. This side of Hvar is very steep and the house is located up a steep driveway - a little daunting on the first attempt but we quickly got used to it! Definitely recommend having a car."

In a very quiet village away from the more touristy towns but close enough to everything that you can see and explore the entire island. quick 10 minute drive in either direction to Jelsa and Stari Grad for plenty of restaurant options. The outdoor dinning area and pool and views were all lovely. So many beautiful details. "
