"We were very happy with this lovely house for our late August family vacation. It's a very spacious and attractive house, which could accommodate three generational family very comfortably. It has an excellent beachfront access, which was ell used - even though the weather was often overcast with occasional rain.We had a very positive family experience in this fine house."

"This little house was a great space for two parents and two young kids. The house was cozy and could use a little maintenance (nothing major), but was lovely and comfortable. The property grounds, however, were the star of the stay. Our kids swam everyday in the pool; we used the outdoor grill; drank morning coffee on the porch; and spent time outside admiring the flowers, grape vines, and large secluded lawn that comes with a firepit (didn't use because we were too tired at the end of the days, haha). The listing was a bit confusing because it shows two buildings on the property but indicates it is private, so we weren't entirley sure what to expect upon arrival. It was in fact a private, not shared property, and I assume the second building was the property owner's, but no one was using it while we were there. The location was also great - only 20 minutes from the town of Canandaigua, and scenic drives to other Finger Lakes, state parks, amusmenet parks, wineries, breweries, and we even managed a day trip back and forth to Niagara Falls. We really enjoyed our stay and recommend it highly."

"We loved our stay here. The cottage was in great shape, very clean, tons of provided kitchen/bath supplies and was very well stocked with fun board games and books. Everything you could want in the kitchen (keurig and coffee maker, every needed pot and pan, plenty of utensils...). The living space and reading nook was cozy and the porch was perfect for sitting and looking out at the lake - plus covered which provided shade and protection from the rain. The bedrooms were so cutely decorated. It's very pet friendly and the owners even left behind pet bowls and a raised cot for our dog to sleep on. The outside area had a side deck with lounge chairs and lots of lake toys - life jackets, rafts, even an airpump which proved super helpful. The dock was in great shape and was wonderful for tying up our rented pontoon boat. There's a short stone wall barrier to the lake (you can't walk directly in) - there is a little area next to the cottage to more easily put in kayaks, canoes and for our dog to swim from. One consideration for some renters would be the stairs. Inside the cottage, the only stairs is a spiral staircase. (Our kids loved it!) As you're coming down the stairs to the cottage from the parking lot, you first come to the main entrance that takes you into the bedroom level with a second flight of stairs to get down to the downstairs porch, and lake level. It wasn't a dealbreaker for us - but good to know for others. All in all, we'd happily return!"

"The house was spacious and very clean inside and out. The entertainment room was used regularly throughout our stay. The side patio is very large and has a beautiful view of the lake. We had a great time. Would definitely recommend staying here."

"Everything was beautifully prepared for our arrival: rooms and spaces as advertised. The outdoor living area actually exceeded what the listing shared. The only reason for 4 stars is the amount and severity of the messages around the premises warning of accruing fees for misuse of accommodations. Several members of my party were very put off by these threats and it dampened their overall experience during our stay. We actually didn’t use the game room much out of fear of triggering an alarm and accruing an additional fee. While we enjoyed the location and comfort of the rental, it was hard to fully relax and enjoy — especially with smaller children who may accidentally cause one of these infractions to occur. I might recommend toning down the posted messaging or sharing it up front for future renters."

"The house was immaculately clean, and we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Plenty of towels. An adequate amount of pots and pans.The house could use a couple of updates. The kitchen table and chairs in particular.We had beautiful weather while we were there, but the deck was very, very sunny, so an umbrella for the table would be very useful."
