A wonderful location, smooth check-in and very clean and well appointed property. It was quite easy to communicate with our host.One suggestion...several of the reviews mention on site parking which is not the case. Guests must find their own parking.

DE accomodatie is zonder overdrijving zeer klein te noemen, voor twee volwassenen met een flink postuur is de bewegingsruimte uitermate beperkt! Er was geen WIFI, geen radio, geen CD speler en de TV had maar een paar franse zenders. Ook werd niet duidelijk gemaakt dat de parkeerplaats bij het huisje niet vanzelfsprekend was. Samenvattend: een stevige prijs voor het gebodene.

Great location but needs some refurb

We had stayed here 4 years ago and decided on it again because of its wonderful central location and secure parking. It really is a little oasis in the centre of the town. It is very small (which we knew) but nevertheless there is a large comfortable bed in the one small bedroom. However, nothing had been upgraded since our last visit and the fittings and fixtures, especially on the ground floor, are cheap (e.g. faded unlined curtains, flat pack type furniture) and the sofa is now way past its 'sell by date' and is small, saggy and uncomfortable and, and in our view, should urgently be replaced with something larger and more comfortable, especially as it's the only soft seating available. There is a television but only French channels available and in this day and age this is hardly acceptable. Also if you want to do anything other than the most basic of cooking you will be disappointed as there is only a small cheap microwave and a 2 (solid) ring electric hob and very limited cutlery, crockery and cookware. The cooking area - it can't really be classed as a kitchen as such - frustratingly with a bit of thought and outlay could, with some re-jigging, be able to accommodate a small oven and be much improved. Finally, be aware that there are numerous extras over and above the basic rental price including cleaning (extortionate for the size of the place), WiFi and bed linen (and there is no option to bring your own linen). We came away this time thinking it was a bit of a rip-off. We also had some problems with the electric gates which you need to be much nearer than you think to open.

Het huisje was niet goed schoon.stonk en was heel muf

Zoals ik al zij.we wisten dat de woning klein was.maar dat ie niet goed schoon was en vies rook dat wisten we natuurlijk niet..we troffen een spinnenweb inclusief spin aan in de wasbak van de keuken. En er lagen een aantal kevers of iets van dien aard bij elkaar geveegd in de slaapkamer..dat vonden we dus echt vervelend.. verder was het een leuk klein huisje op een super plek midden in het centrum..met plaats voor je auto.we konden tussen 16.00.en 19.00 de sleutel op halen..bij het zelfde adres als waar we verbleven..maar er was niemand.her door de verhuurder verkregen telefoon nummer werd niet op genomen.dus moesten we naar Belvila bellen om te vragen hoe en wat..die hebben met de verhuurder gebeld..na dik 2 wachten kwam er eindelijk iemand aan met de sleutel en papieren om ons in te checken.die man was overigens ook nog eens niet vriendelijk..dat was een iets minder goede start van ons weekje Frankrijk

Bij de aankomst was niemand aanwezig die de poort kon openen. Ondanks dat wij ruim een uur van te voren hadden doorgegeven hoe laat wij er zouden zijn. Moesten vier extra rondjes door de stad rijden voordat er iemand kwam om ons de poort binnen te laten. Huisje was zeer zeer klein en rook muf en was zeer vochtig. Ventileren hielp niet. Verder zou er badlinnen zijn. Ja 1badhanddoek,1kleine handdoek en 1gasten doekje per persoon voor een hele week. Belachelijk. Diverse keren moeten bellen zodat we Wi-Fi hadden. Maar wel al moeten betalen. Verder een belachelijke prijs voor schoonmaakkosten. 60euro voor 2 ruimtes van 4bij3.5 meter. Bleef koud en vochtig en het hok. De omgeving was prachtig en alles makkelijk bereikbaar. Ook de weg naar de stranden enz. Prima en kort bij. Wat ons betreft is deze accommodatie een grote misser van Belvilla. Wij raden mensen met luchtwegen problemen niet aan om dit te boeken. Het enige wat ons opviel was dat schoon was. Verder zaten er zwarte spikkels op de kussens van het vocht.

We werden verwelkomd door een dame, die in opdracht van de vermoedelijke eigenaresse zaken regelde en helaas 'slechts' Frans sprak. Niettemin was de gang van zaken verder oké. Het betreft een ideaal appartement voor 2 personen, waarin nagenoeg alles te vinden is qua voorzieningsniveau wat men zou wensen. Het is er alleen wel vochtig, waardoor een elektrische luchtafzuiger dag en nacht aanstaat. Deze maakt geluid, maar is niet storend. Er is rust te vinden, terwijl je midden in Bayeux verblijft. Het terrein heeft eigen parkeermogelijkheid en wordt afgesloten met een op afstand bedienbaar hek.

This lodging is very small. The kitchen is so small that it is almost impossible to cook in it. It is also very dark and damp, with a constant, 24 hour, extractor fan in operation to keep the air circulating. The toilet is situated in the bedroom, again very narrow and there is insufficient space in the bathroom to be able to open the shower door without opening the bathroom door. Compulsory cleaning charge, compulsory hire of bed linen and towels and electricity charges added 100euros to the cost at the end of the stay. We were disappointed with this accommodation.
