The property was not fit for the standard described in the listing, and our weekend was severely affected.
The main issues were:
Hygiene and health concerns
• The hot tub smelled dreadful, appeared to be full of sweat and residue, and had no cleaning chemicals in it. We could not use it safely.
• The whole house smelled strongly of sewage, with particularly foul odours coming from the vents. Several members of our group became unwell and nauseous and resulted in Vomiting; which we attribute to these smells.
• The showers heads were mouldy.
• The kitchen was filthy. The area under the sink was in a disgusting condition, with rusted and stained pipework, loose debris, and mould-affected and damp-stained surfaces. There was also a disgusting growth of bacteria/Mould next to the dishwasher.
• There was rubbish behind the sofa, including food debris and packaging.
Broken or missing facilities
• The Jacuzzi was broken, with no water coming out.
• The kitchen lacked basic utensils.
• There were no basic cleaning supplies provided in the kitchen.
• The light on the staircase was flickering fast aand constantly, which is a safety concern and we would leave it switched off.
• The games room had insufficient lighting.
• The pictures shown on the ad are completely different to actually how the rooms looked.
