Wonderfully close to city centre of Bathurst. Great for our 4 legged friend also - large and accessible backyard. So grateful for pet friendly property owners.
Great, quiet location, yet so close to many cool things in town. Clean. Lovely complimentary bubbly. Phone charging stations. It is an historic cottage, so the bedrooms are very small and the floors kinda quirky 😁. We loved it and would stay again.
We loved our time in Bathurst staying at Rose Cottage. The central location of the lovely historical cottage was perfect. We loved how the old fireplaces have been utilised as features and the working fireplace in the big sunroom out the back was great!
Our family had an excellent weekend stay in Bathurst. There was plenty of room in the house. Everything we needed was provided. It was warm and comfy. Will go back
Rose Cottage was a great spot for our weekend getaway from Sydney with our dog. The cottage is very comfortable and had plenty of heating for the cold evenings, including electric blankets. Netflix and Disney were much appreciated by the teenage son!
The cottage is quite quirky with old world charm blended with some modern touches. It had everything we needed and was a short walk to restaurants and pubs. Very quiet at night despite being so close to town.
Glenda the owner was very responsive to a couple of minor issues which were addressed.
I would recommend for anyone travelling to Bathurst.
"We visited for a week for a school sports tournament.
The house is in a great location, plenty of on street parking, easy walk to great coffee and into the main part of town. The house was well presented with plenty of living space for a small cottage. We appreciated the washing machine & line whilst away for a sporting event where we needed to wash sports uniforms daily. Wifi was reliable to work remotely, however it would be great to have a desk chair to match with the tables to make the most of this as the chairs were realistically too low to sit at the desks.
The back of the house was very hot even when shut up all day and took hours to cool down once the air con was turned on - I imagine it would be a great spot in winter. Fans in the bedrooms were great, although we only ended up using the front room as only one of the bedrooms had external windows which was a function of the extension put onto the back of the house. The kitchen could have done with a tea towel to help dry up the dishes before we left, but we found the kitchen to be reasonably well stocked, especially with crockery and glasses. We were a bit confused by the bins and the backyard - the bins had no numbers and it wasn't clear whether we could use the whole back."
Definitely an early settler home so don’t expect too many modern amenities, however it has air con and fans in all the rooms.Excellent spot near restaurants park and coffee. Good for dogs though hard at the moment with burrs in the backyard. Suitable for a large family though back bedroom probably not great for tall people. Definitely cleaning could have been improved but may have been a hard time in Christmas week.
