Comfortable and cosy cottage to stay for a long weekend. Communication with hosts was great on the lead up to the stay, location was perfect overlooking rolling fields whilst being close to the town and beaches. Beds were comfortable and kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed
This cottage had everything we needed and was the prefect base to explore North Devon. Very peaceful location with the owner close by if we had any questions or problems. We had an amazing time and would return again in the future.
Such a Beautiful, modern & quirky cottage.Fantastic location for exploring Devon & Cornwall. Everything possibly needed was provided within the cottage. Our family loved every moment staying here and the kids loved collecting eggs from the chickens. We would Definitely stay here again and have already recommended it to friends and family.

The property is lovely in a very quiet location. Places near by lovely to visit. We had a very relaxing stay and our dog had a ball. Would definitely recommend Many thanks to the lovely hosts
Very welcoming every thing that we required was at hand.
On arrival Ali was on hand to settle us in with a delailed walk through the property which was very helpful. Everything we required was on in the property and we really enjoyed our stay and will visit it again.
We had such a lovely stay. Ali and Kate were so helpful and there whenever you needed them. So well equipped and so clean. Lovely log burner and outside area where we enjoy many bbqs overlooking the rolling countryside.
Highly recommend this beautiful property in a beautiful location. Can’t wait to stay again.

A beautiful little cottage. Very well equipped and really lively outdoor areas. Lying in the hammock in the shade of a huge tree in the large garden area was so relaxing and ideal for a very hot day. Close to the wonderful north Devon beaches and Exmoor it’s ideally located for all types of activity. So lovely to be on a farm with chickens giving fresh eggs. Sheep and alpaca in the field. Idyllic

Lovely cottage, nice location!
Lovely clean, well-equipped cottage, just outside Barnstaple - great base for exploring North Devon. The owners are lovely and made us feel very welcome. Would possibly recommend to those with slightly older kids (perhaps not toddlers) as bedrooms are separated by a first floor living/dining/kitchen area (master on ground floor, twin room on 2nd floor). Would definitely stay again - had a great time!!! 😀

We love it! We love it! We love it!
After a very, very long drive in our Landy all the way from Munich to Barnstaple we arrived at this wonderful, lovely and cosy Cottage! Very friendly and helpful hosts! Everything we needed was provided. The Cottage was very clean and looked after. Lovely furnished with nice details. We will be back! Just a shame it's so far away from our place, otherwise we would stay more often! Thank you so much for a great holiday! We enjoyed every minute and felt at home away from home!
Great accommodation. Suited a family of 4 very well. Although there was a heatwave at the time it was cool and we were able to get some respite from the heat. Nice choice of outside areas either in the sun or out of it.
Hosts were great. Nice Cider, fudge etc on arrival and we had a hello on arrival. Any questions were answered and nice to have them close, but not that you would notice.
The location is fantastic and close to everything you want eg beaches, walks, supermarkets etc.
Would recommend to anyone as would suit couples of any age or families.

Incredibly peaceful country retreat!
Well what can I say, the property itself was lovely and just off the beaten track. Surrounded by fields and fields some with animals (alpacas, horses and sheep to be precise). We were greeted by two beautiful Himalayan Mountain Dogs followed shortly by Kate and Ali. Upon entering the lovely characterful house there were three beautiful hand made scones with Devonshire cream and jam of course. The whole place has been recently refurbished to a lovely standard, the furnishings were very comfortable, especially the bed and pillows!!! Everything that we needed for the stay was there and we loved every minute of it. Shops were only just over a mile away and Barnstaple town centre was under a 10min drive away! Funniest part was going to leave and seeing the two Pigmy Goats outside the bedroom door eating the Xmas decorations!
Thanks to Ali, Kate, the dogs and goats for being great hosts!

Classy and convenient barn conversion
Spent 3 nights in this lovely barn conversion, which has been tastefully furnished throughout. Ali and Kate were very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Sitting on the balcony in the winter sunshine, overlooking devon countryside, yet only 5 mins drive to Barnstaple. We were visiting friends in the area and will definitely use this accommodation again when we next visit. We love the town of Barnstaple with its Pannier market and fresh produce in Butchers Row. St. Johns garden centre is a great place for a lunch. Baggy Point, near Croyde, is perfect for a half day outing. Dramatic cliffs with birds of prey, if you're lucky, and we watched climbers on the steep cliff-face. The wonderful view of the coast and beach at Croyde, where surfers can be found at any time of the year, is what you see on the walk back. Its an easy walk and well worth the effort. Goodleigh is a perfect spot to explore Exmoor.

Beautiful cottage very well presented and a lovely log burning stove to keep you warm.
Couldn't fault the cottage in any way. The owners Kate and Ali were very helpful and Ali met us on arrival showed us round and then left us to it. There were two spacious rooms, one double and one twin, and an open plan kitchen/dining room which had a wood burning stove as a focal point. The spaces work very well and give the impression of a much bigger space. We went as two couples, each with a child aged 10 months and 3yrs. Even with two little terrors running/crawling we found it more than suitable. Ali also setup baby gates on all stairs and provided high chairs and cot which saved us having to bring them. We were also greeted with scones and a bottle of prosecco on arrival which was very thoughtful after a long journey. We didn't do too much exploring but there are some great pubs local, The Chichester Arms in particular is highly recommended. There's plenty to do in the surrounding areas and we look forward to returning again in the warmer months.
Overall, a great property with lovely large private garden (shame grass had not been mowed). Fabulous toiletries, kitchen had everything you need and more, however kitchen tap leaked and the ensuite toilet tap was loose, pedal bin did not work. Excellent living area apart from rug which had seen better days. I have rated the property 4 star but if the little nagging points were addressed then we would have given it 5 star!
Very nice and everything you need. Comfortable beds. Downstairs bedroom rather cold and couldn't work the c/heating. Cottage is for four, but only three seats in the living room. Kindling needed for log fire, which was lovely in the chilly evenings. Yes, it was June!
Thank you for a lovely stay at Great lilly cottage, we had a great time & an added bonus of a private garden where our dog had a good run around nice & secure, there is everything you need, lovely & clean! We would love to come back
