There's a great sense of calm at the Saiki Bekkan, from the vast, carpeted main lobby with its dramatic glass wall overlooking the traditional garden to the spacious and multi-roomed accommodation. "The Ryokan is located by the side of the river with a verdant forest in the back ground. This makes it a picturesque view from my room window. The sound of the flowing river makes for pleasant & soothing ambience. The onsen radium rich water is unique to this area & is supposed to have therapeutic efficacy. The onsen village centre's street has some interesting shops to discover. Slight down side, the ryokan is dated & needs some sprucing up. "

"Comfortable stay. Food was good. So was the onsen. It would be nice if the hotel provides drinking water at the onsen. Staff was hospitable. Hotel provides free pick up. However, delivery to the station was only available after 9 am. As we leave at 8.30 am, we have to take a taxis."
