This has been the worst hotel experience in my life, without a doubt. I booked this hotel for one night because Airbnb cancelled last minute, it was cheap and at a decent location. I ended up trying three rooms in one night, so keep on reading..
When I got there everything was good enough, friendly staff, quick service. Got to my first room with the concierge and as soon as we entered there were a handful of large bugs walking all over the floor. 'Ok, I've been to motel 6s before. I just need to ask for a new room.' As I was thinking of a way to ask for the new room, the concierge on his own suggested the room next door. Good on him.
Second room looks much better on first look, no bugs and seems clean. I was happy and went to bed as soon as I could. Then while laying in bed I started itching at any exposed part of my body. It was a nightmare come true. I tripple checked for any spiders or mosquitoes, but nothing was there. The only answer could be.... bedbugs!! At this point I was shocked. I would be outraged if a hostel had bedbugs let alone something labeling itself as a "hotel'.
So I went down to recepcion and asked for a new room. The staff working there didn't seemed surprised at all. They did give me a new room and the third room was good enough. Had random hairs in the bathroom and on the bed, but at this point not having bugs on the bed was a relief.. I stayed one night and booked a hotel next door for the next day for only $10 more. Well worth it.
