We arrived in rain and had sun the next two days but wood was wet, and could not locate any bagged firewood in Rhinebeck, so could not...

"House was very clean and owners seemed kind and thoughtful. They was a bottle of wine waiting for us at arrival. Beds and linens were very comfortable and shower had great water pressure. The view from the balcony is splendid with cozy outdoor furniture and an area for yoga or meditation. We just found the decor to be a little schizophrenic and overwhelming. This is a great place for two adults and a couple of kids to stay. If two couples are going, they would need to be very comfortable...

"Came here for a birthday getaway filled with hiking, and great restaurants! It rained the entire time, but this beautiful cottage was so relaxing, with the windows overlooking the private backyard, we simply sat and read and watched the rain roll by. Lots of room, spacious bedrooms. Great for a family."

Susanne, the host, gave us great directions and was super friendly and helpful and we really appreciated the scones,chocolate and fresh local eggs left for us. "My husband and I like to swim and kayak, so this location was perfect, and we loved exploring the area during our week at Goose Landing. The cottage was designed so well that even though it's small there was plenty of room for the two of us. The kitchen was wonderful, with lots of counter space, a big modern SS gas stove, and all the cookware and utensils we needed. The furnishings were lovely and comfortable. "Very clean home. We were in the area for a family wedding and the location was great. We were totally satisfied with everything."

"Door code invalid as relayed. Check in time not honored. Upon entry thermostat read 41degrees on a a damp cold day. Multiple diffusers, plug-ins did not offset the dirty diaper, blood stained sheet, & foul bathroom smell. Meager linen supply, lack of detergent, rodent bags rounded out this thoroughly unpleasant experience."

"The check in/out process was super-simple. The communication from the property manager was nice and cordial. The TV/couch area was a little cramped and the freeway noise was noticeable, but the bed mattress was one of the most comfortable mattresses that I have ever slept on. That bed was probably the highlight for me. We used the place as a sleeping spot as we traveled/explored the area and NYC."
