"Booked and paid for the more expensive room with king size bed three months in advance. Upon arriving we’re told they were fully booked and only had queen size beds available even if we waited. When booking a luxury hotel this should not happen, I have never even had a budget hotel pull this. "
"Family of 4. Stayed for 7 nights. Everything good except for staff. Amari needs to train your staff up in order to match up to your good name. Staff cleaning the rooms daily have very inconsistent standards. Some days I have only been 3 bath towels. Some days shower gel tube totally empty but not refilled. Some days my room has the card for leaving the aircon and lights on and some days the card is not there. Worst of all, on the last night that we were there, we went back from shopping to find that both our access cards were denied from entering our rooms. All our barang barang including passports still in the room. When I approached the front desk, no apology whatsoever. Instead, she said that problem probably from putting the card with my mobile phone. Lol she must think I’m a kid. What is the chance your hotel patrons don’t have their mobile phone and the hotel access card together in the same bag? Everyone doing that cannot access their rooms after that? Amari watergate, please wake up your idea. Please train your staff to either not lie and just apologise for a genuine mistake, or come up with a better lie."
"Housekeeping was poor. Floor wasn’t even swept for 4 days. It was when I was in room before staff swept and mopped. Didn’t replace bath mat even though I was in room. Rang and told them, nothing happened. My last night the shower the shower jel was empty. Again didn’t get refilled.
My first day room had bad power points. I was moved to main building. Doors didn’t work properly. Housekeeping came and it took another day before it was rectified. One day tea bags were not replaced. Again had to ring housekeeping to replenish. The shampoo/ conditioner fell off the wall. Obviously poor workmanship. Didn’t get fixed at all. Overall disappointing. Sox was left by previous customer and didn’t get swept for three days until I moved it onto table and left a note to say it doesn’t belong to me before it was cleared away. Worst place for housekeeping. "
