Wonderful Home
We had an obligation in Bandera, and stayed at this lovely property. We enjoyed our coffee in the garden each AM. The home is updated, but still a throw-back in time, with the lovely decor and antiques in the home--brought back fond memories. We will be staying again for OTX camp drop-off/pick-up.

Wonderful stay
The house is perfectly located and had everything we needed for our stay. Very clean! We enjoyed the deer and all of the birds while drinking coffee on one of the many porches.

EXCELLENT HOUSE, EXCELLENT PROPERTY, EXCELLENT OWNER, COULDN'T HAVE ASKED FOR MORE. Ok well there was no water in the river by the house. Mother Natures fault. QUIET, SAFE, BUTTERFLIES AND RED BIRDS AND DEER ARE BOUNTIFUL! BEAUTIFUL LANDSCAPE, HOUSE BEAUTIFUL INSIDE AND OUT. I would recommend this property to all!

Incredible little getaway
The Zapata’s property was incredibly clean and welcoming. The house had the cutest decor inside and outside. There is also a cardinal that does wake-up calls if you sleep in the master bedroom. He is the cutest! Highly recommend. We enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful Garden and cute house
We had the extended family stay here in order to go to the rodeo in Bandera and to the Rancho Cortez Dude Ranch over Memorial Day weekend. The house is really well decorated. Feels like a country cottage. The gardens are amazing and a great place to relax. Unfortunately, the water levels in the creek out back are still pretty low, but the teens enjoyed hunting for tadpoles and watching the deer come into the field at night. My only two caveats would be to note that the "big" beds are still only queen sized (a king would have been nice in the master) and the owner lives right next door and likes to keep a close eye on things. Additionally, there is someone living over the detached garage next to the house. All very nice people, but if you prefer your privacy on vacation, like we do, then it's a bit too close for comfort. Otherwise, the house was comfortable, and the owners include many different amenities (e.g., snacks and coffee on arrival, access to laundry facilities, fresh towels in the closet) which make this a nicer place to stay than most rentals. I would recommend it for a small family or group of friends.

Spring Break getaway
Excellent property in a nice secluded area of Bandera. Plenty of open space to walk around or just enjoy the wildlife, birds, fire pit. Clean property with all the comforts of home. Owners close by and very helpful.

Hill Country Riding
The property was great. We are outdoors people and the property, especially the "back yard", were outstanding. We loved riding the hills on Harleys, and then coming to relax while cooking outside. Great stay.

Excellent property for a family
This property had it all! Fully furnished kitchen that was even stocked with beverages and candy dishes and some cooking staples. We loved the creek, the swing, chairs everywhere to sit and relax. The open yard for throwing a ball around or running was great too. Little one loved the stash of dress up clothes. Beds were very comfortable and the decor was charming. We loved being in our own little world and the owners were so kind and helpful without being overly pushy. Highly recommend! If you are on the fence at all...... trust me..... does not disappoint! If I had 1 bad thing to say..... it is the cardinal that pecked at our window every morning. Husband was not impressed by him lol

Cute creek side house
Great creek side property for a small group. The pictures of the house do not show how beautiful the gardens and grounds are - so that was an added benefit of our trip! It was like a butterfly garden! The creek is wonderful for my three year old to play in and my dog had the most fun too. Kitchen is well stocked which made cooking meals so nice. Owners are on site I. The main house and so welcoming and accommodating. Thank you and we can’t wait to stay again!

Awesome place
We stayed here through New Years and we were very pleased from the moment we pulled up in the driveway. House is in a nice quiet area minutes away from Bandera. The house is super clean and meticulously maintained. The property owners live right next door and are super nice. Stacy made us a pot of Chili for our first night. The creek behind the house just adds to the relaxing nature of being there. We are coming back for sure. I almost did not even want to write this review so we could try to keep this place a secret.

Great Stay
Very comfortable and well-appointed. Wonderful rural setting and amazing landscaping. Please note that a caretaker is onsite in a garage apartment next to the house. This was a surprise when we arrived but was not a bother or problem at all.

Beautiful home and gardens
Enjoyed a lovely weekend. The beautiful gardens make the house a great place to just relax and enjoy nature. The hosts supplied water, coffee and snacks, which was a nice touch. Very close to Bandera and Kerrville for when you want to explore the area.

Amazing Property
Property was a perfect get away. The house and owners are both great. The home is beautifully decorated and the grounds are gorgeous. We saw so many butterflies and hummingbirds in the gardens. Roasting marshmallows in the fire pit, playing games as a family, and watching the frogs and fish in the stream were some of the highlights. The town of Bandera is nice, and we enjoyed visiting City Park (with a number of swimming holes) and the Natural History museum (home to Trixie the dinosaur of Night at the Museum fame). We really enjoyed our time here and plan on coming back again.

This was the perfect place! The house was immaculate and decorated beautifully. So many thoughtful touches - s’mores ingredients on the counter and wood set out for fire pit! Charger bank for all kinds of phones, good sheets and towels. excellent part of the river/creek. (Look for dinosaur tracks!) super nice- plus pet-friendly! I’d go back tomorrow- I could live there. We LOVED IT ALL!

Just what we needed.
We had an amazing experience at the Waters Edge. We needed to get away for a few days and needed a kid friendly location close to the water. This place was perfect and had everything we needed inside and outside of the property. My bf, 9 yr old, and myself enjoyed the beautiful garden/back yard area as well as the cool creek to cool off and tan. We are definitely returning home well rested and content. Thank you Stacey and Eino for yalls great hospitality. We will be back!

Best place to stay in Bandera!
My family has rented several cabins in Bandera over the years but this one is our favorite! Very clean, extremely comfortable and a perfect place to spend with family and dogs. Fire pit and view and access to the cypress lined Bandera creek made it a perfect get away. I can’t wait to go back!!

Clean and comfortable beds. Porches and decks abound. Fabulous decorator touches everywhere. Garage apartment right next door but not a problem with privacy. Nice setting and close to Bandera. Scenic drive from here to Luckenbach Blues Festival. Definitely a do over.

Our stay was very comfortable and enjoyable. The house was well kept and clean. The owner was disappointed that landscaping and river were suffering from the lack of rain but that is definitely something that cannot be controlled. A very nice relaxing time - just what we needed! Only issue for my husband was the lack of internet - I thought that was great!

We rented this place for a 15th anniversary get away. We were very pleased at the seclusion and off the grid feel that it provided. From the deer watching, to the star gazing, we would highly recommend this cozy home. Well done.

The Merry Widows
We really enjoyed our stay at the Waters Edge. It is a very charming house. We so enjoyed it we might do this again. One of the girls enjoyed it so much , said she was packing her bags to move in. She especially loved the swinging chair down by the waters edge. Thank You Stacey!!

My friends and I absolutely loved staying here and will most likely book again in the future. The house was peaceful and decorated just beautiful. Looked like something in a Better Homes and Garden magazine. Beds were comfy and the place was just spotless.

Beautiful Outdoor Experience
We thoroughly enjoyed staying here for our Spring Break vacation. The outdoor setting of this home is gorgeous. The kids spent hours playing in the shallow falls of the creek in the back, and even got to fish a little in another deeper part of the stream. We adults sat by the fire most nights, watching the sun go down over the field of goats and horses across the road. I think the only hang-up we had during our stay was finding adequate cook ware in the kitchen. It needs some decent pans and utensils, knives and cutting boards. We made note of this to the owner though and she was able to bring us some more items. Overall the house was clean and comfortable for the whole family.

Had an awesome time at this lovely house that is extremely nice and private. We enjoyed time down by the creek, roasted marshmellows, and watched the stars. There is also plenty to do nearby. We went for a horseback ride and then did a hike at Lost Maples. The hosts were extremely helpful and generous.

What a lovely home! I don't think the pictures do it justice. The house was very cozy and wonderfully decorated. Our family loved the stay. The outside features were amazing. We made use of the grill, fireplace, and definitely walked down to the small stream a lot. We're from the city, so light pollution always obstructed the stars, but at the house, the stars were brilliant. It was also a five minute drive from Bandera where there's a market, shops, and food places. I would highly recommend this home if you want to sit back and relax and enjoy nature.
