"Extremely helpful and engaging staff oat reception, bar and restaurant. VERY
dog
friendly facilities. Hotel itself could do with some redecoration but it is a lovely old building full of character and it was very cosy with open fires and big comfy sofas to relax in. Food was locally sourced and well cooked and presented. "

Braemar Youth Hostel

3.0 star property
9.4 out of 10, Exceptional, (34)
"Great stay, quiet time of year but the hostel was very comfortable, clean, friendly, and relaxed. I had a private double room which was perfect for travelling with a pet. Kitchen access was really handy as Braemar and the surrounding area doesn't have much in the way of options for eating during the week in the off season."

Morrone Cottage - Beautiful mountain cottage, large garden and wonderful views.

8.2 out of 10, Very good, (10)
"Had a fabulous few days at the cottage in Braemar. The gardens of the cottage are lovely and were great when our grand children came to visit. Also good for our little
dog
, who could access all the grounds without the fear of him getting out. The views are also beautiful! "

Fabulous sunny house in large private gardens. Sun porch & patio. Mountain views

9.2 out of 10, Wonderful, (35)
"We had a wonderful time. The house has a beautiful, spacious garden with a great view. The house itself has lots of rooms and is a comfortable base for exploring Braemar and surroundings. Braemar is a nice village with several restaurants, a good butcher and other shops. Lots of walks start in the village. And if you like to see more, there is plenty to do nearby."

"Beechwood is exactly as advertised, a comfortable, contemporary, well furnished house in a quiet but convenient location in the centre of Ballater. The bonus is the quality of the fittings, bathrooms, kitchen, soft furniture, beds and the beautiful garden. The hosts were super responsive and the little touches make us want to return next year."
