A Great Place to Rest and Relax

Would highly recommend, we had such a great time away! It was such a loverly experience it was clean welcoming, while also having enough space for everyone, I enjoyed waking up to beautiful views also feeling so far away from reality

Our stay

The property was very beautiful. My son had a great time riding his bike and enjoyed petting the animals in the neighbouring property. It was a very peaceful stay, especially with the pool table and outside bonfire. The kitchen wasn’t fully equipped.

A country haven.

My volunteer team and I had an amazing stay at this beautiful property and James was a wonderful host. The house was even more beautiful than it appeared in the pictures (one of my team members commented several times that it looked like something straight out of Grand Designs) and James was prompt with his communication throughout the entirety of our stay. We were spoilt for choice with activities and both the indoor and outdoor dining areas were even more user-friendly than we imagined. It is hard to find properties that can comfortably cater for seven adults on a work trip but this was a favourite by far. We'll be back.

Beautiful Farm House

Went with the family to this beautiful farm house in Buninyong. The host was very friendly and helpful. The property was spacious and had all the necessary amenities. And was well maintained. A fair warning it is a little difficult to get to at first so make sure to follow the owners instructions on how to get there. If you hit grass, you've gone the wrong way. All in all a great experience. Would go there again and definitely recommended!

Great stay for family groups

We really enjoyed our stay in this property - great for 3 families with kids. The house is spacious, full of natural light with a nice setting looking over the dam and farmlands. Buninyong is a nice town (great second hand bookshop!) and its location close to Ballarat makes it really convenient. The host was really friendly, responsive and communicated well. We really wanted to give this 5 stars but a few things let it down a little, all of which the host hopes to address soon - hopefully by the time you read this they have been improved! The kitchen is really spacious, well lit and a lovely work area, but isn't yet well equiped to cater for large groups - not many utensils, crockery, cutlery, cookware, serving platters, mixing bowls, measuring cups/spoons, etc you need to cook full meals for groups of 10. The BBQ grill is just that - a grill on a portable fire pit, not a gas BBQ with a hot plate. One of the bedrooms was unexpectedly separate from the main house, and didn't have blinds/curtains for privacy - although the room is adjoined to the garage, you need to go outside with the key to get to the toilet in the main house.
