Take a stroll back in time in this beautiful studio situated just two blocks from Historic Downtown Baker City. You will love this lovely space which is one of four apartments within a beautiful Victorian home. Enjoy a stylish experience at this centrally-located gem!

This studio has a living room with a new cozy sectional, a large television, a table for two, and a separate sleeping area. The small kitchen is a great place to prepare meals and the bathroom has an enclosed claw foot tub, a pedestal sink and ample storage.

Guests have access to the back yard gathering space with a firepit and gazebo.

We're here to ensure your comfortable during your stay and available to answer any questions you may have 24 hours a day.

The Palmer House is nestled in Baker City's Historic district adjacent to downtown where you will find many large Victorian style homes built in the early 1900's during the gold rush. This lovely studio will take you back in time with the amenities we love and enjoy today!

Park your car and stroll on the sidewalk lined streets to Downtown Baker City. You will find wine tasting, boutiques, Barley Browns Brew Pub, and the Sweet Wife Bakery with the most delectable pastries you can imagine, and more!

Jump in your car and take a drive up into the Elkhorn or Eagle Cap mountains to take in breathtaking views in each of these mountain ranges that surround Baker City and make it an outdoor paradise.

• Quiet Hours: Please keep noise to a minimum, especially after 8 PM, as this home is in a quiet neighborhood.
• Parking: Park in on the street in front of the home.
• Shoes: Remove shoes indoors or ensure they are free of dirt to help keep the home clean.
• Overnight Guests: Visiting guests not on the reservation require prior approval.
• Smoking: Smoking is allowed outdoors only. Please collect and dispose of cigarette butts.

Pet Policy (for Travelers with Animals)
• Pets must be pre-approved (limit 2 dogs, under 70 lbs, and at least 1 year old).
• Pets are not to be left unattended in the home. Please have your pet on a leash in the backyard shared area.
• Keep pets leashed around the neighborhood.

• Report any pet-related damage before checkout.
• Please minimize barking out of respect for neighbors.

Baker City Goodness

We’ve stayed at hotels, motels and Vrbo in Baker City. All were good but this stay was especially relaxing. Great location and everything was exactly as advertised. Thanks we had a great time.

Just perfect

We were in town to visit family over the Christmas holidays and needed a place to sleep and eat breakfasts. This was clean as a whistle, has an adorable 50s style kitchen, plenty of hot water. It’s walking distance to downtown Baker City (just two blocks). You can hear trains and an occasional clock tower bell, otherwise it was very quiet.

Comfortable and good location

Comfortable little space close to everything. Nice touches.. local coffee and fresh baked bread waiting for you. Well kept and quiet. Very responsive when we needed something extra.

Unique place.

If you like a little old fashion mixed with current style then the Palmer house may suit you. Room 2 has old bones but is updated with plenty charging stations, adjustable bed firmness, fresh bread, Netflix, and wonderful sheets.

This was a great place for a weekend getaway. It was in a nice neighborhood just 2 blocks from the heart of Baker City. Had everything we needed and was clean and comfortable. Would def stay again!

The room was clean and the fresh loaf of bread was fantastic it would have been nice to have 4 towels instead of just two especially where I listed 4 adults staying, and two more pillows, we found blankets but the website says sleeps 4

Touch and morning coffee availability was appreciated. A couple of my texted questions were answered immediately. Two negatives: The bed’s mattress was lumpy and very uncomfortable, and the bathtub drained extremely slow.

Ski Weekend

Our family enjoyed the visit and stay at the Palmer house. Property is well maintained and taken care of. We had to change plans and property owner was flexible and accommodating. We will definitely recommend this property to friends for future trips.

Lovelly Quaint Western City

The Palmer House is wonderfully located right downtown, making it very accessible. The only issue we had was that the Duevets were thin, so on the first night, we were cold. The manager reacted quickly to our request for more blankets, and on the second night, it was much better. We stayed in Studio 2 with three adults, which worked, but you did not have much privacy. It would be better suited to a couple alone or with a couple of children, but it worked and was very comfortable. It is a beautiful, quaint house in an excellent location.

Weekend Trip

My husband and I visited Baker City for a weekend get away to visit family. We stayed at the Palmer House Apt 2. Very clean and comfortable place! We enjoyed the wonderful coffee and fresh baked bread they had for us when we arrived. Prior to our arrival I had a question for our hosts and texted Blake who responded back right away, so communication was great as well. We also had our dog, Steve in tow and he had a great time too! We really enjoyed our stay at the Palmer House and look forward to staying here again.

4 night stay

This property is good for just 2 people. It’s a very old house, so understand that when booking. The shower sprays water from the back, which then runs into the bedroom because the floors aren’t level. They request parking in front of the property, but there was never a space available . Other tenants or guests clearly are not picking up after their pets. Poop in the front yard and backyard. A little hiccup with checking in, but Blake was quick to remedy the problem. Did request an early check in, and got no reply originally, just the basic check in instructions. Only after texting with Blake did he say early check was available. That was nice.

Handicaped

Beautiful small unit. The unitwas difficult for a handicaped person due to the small size. I could not use my walker only my cane. The outside yard is beautiful with a gazebo and outdoor kitchen. We did not use it but it would be nice if staying for a longer time. The yard was shared with the main house.

We enjoyed the stay. The studio was fairly roomy for a studio, with an great shower/bathroom, cute kitchen with good coffee and home made bread. Note that the second bed option really is just a very large sectional that has a couple extra cushions that pop up to form a big couch square. My companions did not complain, but it is not like a true Murphy bed with a mattress. Perfect for a couple getting away for a weekend. The mattress on the bed is super comfortable. Memory foam that is firm but soft and supportive at the same time. I’d actually like to know what brand of mattress it is…. Check in is super easy with the key codes, and check in screen in the room. Owners are great, was able to easily arrange a late checkout over text in a just a few minutes. Would stay here again.

Received instructions to access green apt door. My access code did not work which required a call to the host. He informed me the instructions I received were wrong and I should access the yellow door. Once inside there was a chirping sound similar to a smoke alarm battery dieing. Host seemed skeptical and came to the unit. It ended up being a carbon monoxide detector. He removed it completely. After that the stay was comfortable. I would suggest not pre-cooking the bread but providing the premixed dough (or nothing at all). The bread was hard as a rock and the smell upon entering the unit was not enjoyable as you might think. Neighborhood seems to be in transition. Nice but older.
