Wild Cedars - Cana Island - Lake Michigan - Amazing new home

Brand new house on Lake Michigan nestled in a cedar forest with great views of Cana Island from the shore.

Set in a beautiful wooded lot this unique 2,026 sq ft home will make you feel welcome. With covered decks, screen porch, natural wood burning stone fireplace with sunken seating, and accents of natural cedar with rustic charm and elegance.

Two bedrooms: One downstairs with queen bed and private deck looking out to Lake Michigan. The second upstairs with a king size bed. The first floor bedroom opens onto a private deck with great views of Lake Michigan.

The great room has huge picture windows looking out to the lake and a Panoramic door leading from the great room into the covered screen deck. A very comfortable king size sofa sleeper and armchairs are located in the great room to both take advantage of the view and enjoy the TV and BluRay player. There is also a game table in this room, a variety of board games, movies and books are available for your use. The great room also has a wood-burning fireplace with sunken seating area.

Overlooking the great room is a loft with a full size sofa-sleeper and seating looking out the front windows to the lake. Great place to sit, relax and read a book.

Off the great room is a dining room with table seating 8. The dining room also opens up to the screened deck area.

The kitchen is full equipped: Refrigerator/freezer with ice-maker, Gas range and electric oven, microwave and dishwasher. Coffee maker and other common small appliances are provided. The cabinet is stocked with typical staple items for your use.

There are two bathrooms: The first floor bathroom has a tub/shower and the upstairs bath a shower. Towels and washcloths are provided as well as travel shampoo and soap.

The host was great to work with and communicated well. The house is well appointed with everything you need and very clean. Easily can accommodate a larger group than the 3 of us with space for everyone. The property is fairly private with a firepit near the lake and chairs out by the lake. We all said we would stay here again. The only knock would be the memory foam mattress's and the pillows are not our preferred choice but not the end of the world. This home is a very nice place to stay.

Wonderful stay

Our fifth time staying here - beautiful home and setting in the woods by the lake. As much fun and relaxing to be on the porch and by the lake at the house as it is to explore Door County. Best of both worlds - highly recommended! Very comfortable, well equipped kitchen, and appreciate the responsive hosting.

It was wonderful! The house immaculate, well provisioned with beautiful art work, inside and out, but left plenty of room for us to place our things for the time we were there. Good, clear instructions ...but not too many! Our weather was mild so we never built a fire but could imagine how cozy it would be! The porches were great, but our favorite place was the chairs on the beach...we saw moonrise over Cana Island, the fog envelop us and the lighthouse, stars innumerable, "the northern lights", and the sun rise out of Lake Michigan...it was magical! I am always so happy when the rental space is just as pictured, but this one exceeded our expectations! Hope we can return!

Delightful Door County Stay

This is a beautiful property and home. My wife and I were here for a four-day stay and everyday we found more to love. We loved watching mergansers and gulls on the lake, as well as the closeness to so many wonderful sights and locations on the peninsula.

Cannot recommend the place enough, this is our third stay here, and it is such a wonderful place to stay. Particularly enjoyed the waterfront sunrises, beautiful setting, fireplace, relaxing on the porch, and cooking at the house. Great place to spend time in, and from which to explore Door County. Great Place

Our family of five had a great time staying at Wild Cedars. The location is great, easy to get to but off the beaten path a bit. We liked being able to walk down to the lake at night and see the Cana Island light and the dark night sky. The house is beautiful and well maintained and stocked. We had a great time playing games and sitting by the fire.

2+1=3 stays at Boreal Beach House properties.

This is our 2nd stay at this property and it's just as nice as ever, better even. Beautiful views of Cana Island, peaceful and quiet. Easy access to the county and state parks in the area and for a trip to Washington Island if you want to. We did that one day, an easy 35 minute drive to the ferry. Their other property is two lots south of this one and is just as nice, with an even better view of Cana Island. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
