About this property

Cozy Mountain Cabin with Hot Tub and Views 1hr from Denver. Pet Friendly!

  • A pet-friendly modern log cabin at 9,016 ft near Bailey, with a private hot tub, a gas fire table on the covered deck, and views of Rosalie Peak, Mt. Logan, and the Front Range.

Welcome to Rosalie Ridge Cabin, a modern log cabin tucked into pine and aspen forest near Bailey, Colorado, about an hour from Denver. Mornings start with coffee and floor-to-ceiling views of Rosalie Peak, Mt. Logan, and the Front Range. Days are for trails (some start within walking distance, and the Rosalie Peak trailhead is about 7 minutes away). Evenings belong to the private hot tub, which seats 6 to 8, and the gas fire table on the covered wraparound deck.

    The space

The vaulted great room is the heart of the cabin, with warm wood walls, floor-to-ceiling windows, a cast-iron wood stove (firewood and firestarters provided), an electric fireplace, a smart TV, a stereo, and 20+ board games. The fully stocked kitchen has a gas stove and oven, a dishwasher, drip and Keurig coffee makers with complimentary K-cups, ground coffee, and teas, plus spices, oils, and kid-friendly cups and utensils. The dining table seats 8, and the breakfast bar has stools for 5.

The cabin sleeps 6 in three bedrooms with three baths:
    • Primary suite (upstairs): king bed, pack 'n play, a dedicated workspace with a monitor and mountain views, and an en-suite bath with a double vanity and walk-in tiled shower
    • Bedroom 2 (upstairs): queen bed
    • Bedroom 3 (ground floor): queen bed looking out to the trees
    • Upstairs hall bath and downstairs bath, each with a tub/shower combo

Every bedroom has a smart TV, a ceiling fan, a white noise machine, and bedside chargers. Starlink Wi-Fi runs about 120 Mbps download, plenty for video calls and streaming.

Outside, the covered wraparound deck has Adirondack chairs, a log bench, the gas fire table, and a propane grill. The private hot tub is professionally serviced weekly, and a large grassy meadow (not fenced) opens up in front of the cabin, where deer often wander through.

Good to know: the kitchen, great room, and primary suite are upstairs, with one queen bedroom and a bath on the ground floor. There's no air conditioning, but the bedrooms and great room have ceiling fans, every bedroom closet has a fan and a space heater, and summer nights at this elevation are usually cool.

    Guest access

The whole cabin is yours, with no shared spaces:
    • Private hot tub, gas fire table, and covered wraparound deck
    • Washer, dryer, and a gear storage area
    • Trail guide, s'mores kit, and guest welcome station
    • Garage and driveway parking with room for 6+ vehicles, trailers, or RVs
    • All indoor living spaces: kitchen, great room, 3 bedrooms, and 3 bathrooms

Traveling with kids? A high chair, pack 'n play, baby gate, kid-safe dinnerware, fireplace guards, and window guards are on hand.

    The neighborhood

The cabin sits in a quiet pine and aspen neighborhood near Bailey, in Park County. Trails start within walking distance, the Rosalie Peak trailhead is about a 7-minute drive, and the Mount Evans Wilderness is about 10 minutes away. Deer visit the yard often, and guests have spotted elk, moose, and even a black fox. On clear nights, the stars are the main event.

    Getting around

You'll want a car. The cabin is about an hour from Denver via US-285, about 45 minutes from Red Rocks, 10 to 15 minutes from downtown Bailey, and about 25 to 30 minutes from Staunton State Park. In winter, we strongly recommend AWD or 4WD, since mountain roads can be snowy or icy.

This was a beautiful fall place to stay! I was surprised to see so many aspens and trees. Gorgeous drive and easy to find. It is super clean and the beds were very comfortable. I wasn't expecting the kitchen and master bedroom to be upstairs. We took my elderly parents and it was a little bit of a challenge to get them upstairs. Overall a very nice cozy cabin. We even spotted a rare black fox while having coffee on the deck. Wish we could've stayed longer. Thabk you for the hospitality.
