"The hotel was great. The family room was spacious and more than suitable for a family of 4. The pool, steam room, sauna and jacuzzi were easy to access and a nice activity for the family ( children only able to access pool but the rest were a nice respite for mum.) The children were also excited to receive a certificate from the staff for good swimming. There is a Starbucks on site which is handy during a busy day. The bar/restaraunt was convenient but a bit pricey for pub grub, but there are other options in the surrounding are suitable for families. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Good choice of breakfast and staff were cheerfull and helpful. We had a good stay."

"Owner messaged on day of arrival to give directions and met us at the carpark to show us around. Lovely pod. Hot tub takes approx 2 hrs to heat up as it uses logs but it retains the heat well. We had a lovely relaxing weekend "

"Myself and my wife stayed at honeysuckle cottage for a 4 day break with are dog who was free to come with us the cottage was situated on a farm which was owned by Peter who was very welcoming when we arrived at the cottage he gave us so much information about the surrounding area he also got us milk butter and even a pack of Welsh cakes which we thought was a nice touch the village of mold was within driving distance and took about 10 minutes to get there if your wanting to eat out there was a lovely restaurant we went to called the pen y bont which was a lovely place and the staff in there where so friendly and nothing was to much trouble so if your looking for a nice little getaway with your pooch then this is for you we will be defiantly returning next year"

"Lovely cottage close to essential amenities, most within walking distance. Cottage has many dog walking tracks leading from the house. The property is dog friendly with easy wash floors for those foot and paw prints after woodland walking. There is an enclosed area directly at the back door which is dog safe, although some small and teacup size dogs could get through the wooden slatted gates, and a handy external hosepipe. On arrival, there was a fabulous lemon drizzle cake and a bottle of wine awaiting us, but I would have willingly paid extra to find a pint of milk in the fridge, rather than having to go out again after a long tiring drive. The cottage is surrounded by beautiful gardens up a private drive. The owners kindly contacted us before we arrived, as they live in the house within the same grounds, which was a nice touch. We would highly recommend. A great base, close to Chester, and we used the train to visit Liverpool from the station in Buckley."
