La Lua Resort Ninh Binh

"We stayed at La Lua Resort for two nights. The room was well appointed with great views of the rice fields and mountains, and the staff were attentive. If you want to unplug and relax on site, it is a great choice. A few things to keep in mind: Location: It is 15+ km from Tam Coc, where most of the action and food options are. Bike rental services would not deliver to the hotel, so we had to take a Grab into town to rent bikes and eat. Value: As the most expensive stay of our 6-hotel trip, the breakfast and afternoon tea fell short of expectations for the price point. Great spot to unwind, but factor in the distance if you plan to explore Tam Coc."

"This is a little slice of paradise. One of those rare places you feel emotional leaving. Staff was so kind, helpful. We are so glad we decided to stay a little outside the city, Grabs always showed up within 5 min even faster at times. Would soooo recommend this place. The animals on the property are precious and extremely good food at the restaurant. Honestly we had to force ourselves to leave it was so peaceful."

"Had a wonderful stay. The friendliness of Thanh and his family is what stood out the most. The local excursions, the home-cooked meals, a refreshing dip in the pool after a hot day, and being greeted by their dog were other highlights. I especially enjoyed the bike ride through the rice fields."

"The family that runs this homestay is very warm and friendly. The room was big (surprising for Vietnam!), modern and clean. The best part for us was the view. The limestone mountains and the river we could see out our windows and door were just so picturesque. The location is away from the main homestay areas (although very close to Hoa Lu and the Trang An Boat Ride entrance) as well as any shops. They have a decent food offering, we found it useful to supplement with eating in town and bringing snacks from local bakeries. Highly recommend!"

"Jasmine was extremely helpful and welcoming. Our room and bed were comfortable in a standard double bungalow and the air-conditioning and fan were very efficient. We enjoyed the pool too cool off and the food was good. Jasmine organised a local driver for us- Nhat, and he was excellent, very flexible with time dropping us and coming back to pick us up when we were ready. Very good value and a safe driver (not always easy to find in Vietnam)."
