Primo Bom Terra Verde (pronounced by many locals and cab drivers as "Prime Bom") really surprised us. Firstly, it isn't a hotel. There's no concrete building with rooms. Each 'room' is actually your very own cottage (you can choose between wooden walls or walls made of some sort of fabric). The resort is therefore spread across acres of land with individual houses, a swimming pool, and a lake for boating, all in a beautiful setting. We chose the fabric cottage, whose main con is that it's pretty "transparent" to sound. The room, otherwise, was excellent: air conditioner, TV (with limited channels; but you're in Goa, so don't waste time watching TV), water heater (for tea, coffee), and a well-equipped bathroom. The resort is a ~15 minute walk to Baga beach, which is, itself, a ~15 minute walk to Calangute. The restaurant in the resort is ok. The lunch was very good if you want authentic Goan cuisine, but the (free) breakfast was average. The staff is very approachable, friendly and helpful. Overall, I would highly recommend Primo Bom, and I have no doubt I will stay here again when I visit Goa next.
