"We stayed at a room with type "Classic Suite, Private Bathroom" for one night in July. The room is too small for 4 people. Smell coming out from shower sink. The day of our stay it was quite hot and there was a vantilator in the room that was not working well and unfortunately the staff was not able to find an alternative solution. I must say the staff was very kind however this was not enough to prevent the bad experience.
Not impacting my rating and we did not need it but the restaurant at the...
"Staff at the front desk was a little blunt. I gave my address and she told me that it wasn't correct. It indeed was. Just assumed alot about us a foreigners. Rooms were super clean but plain. Breakfast was nice. "
"Seventeen century German property with a newer annexe. Close to the Town centre.
No on site restaurant, but there was a nice one within a three minutes walk. Nothing to dislike."
"Very nice little resort tucked into the town, almost invisible from the street but big enough to have two pools and many spa-type services. Rooms impeccably clean, big breakfast, friendly service. Would gladly return!"
"Quaint hotel with a nice breakfast included. Rooms are spacious with a fan, which is nice during the warmer months. Easy drive to Speyer cathedral. Available grocery stores. Heidelberg only 1/2 hour away. Several restaurants within walking distance. "
"Our stay at this hotel was marred by a very unfriendly employee as well as some misconceptions. The breakfast is twenty Euros per person. While it was adequate, it was worth about 10. For 20, I would expect more as well as the possibility of freshly made eggs. On Monday, the croissant felt like day old bread or purchased from the supermarket pre-made. The morning employee was very kind and nice though!!!
The other misconception was about the pool. We picked this hotel based on there being a...

6/10 Okay
"The reception staff couldn’t smile! But courteous. Shower in bathtub without shower curtain! Aircondition recently out in, very noisy, no controls in the room

Vacation apartment for up to 8 people with sunny courtyard, garden and pool
10/10 Excellent
"The property and area are as described in listing. If you have any mobility issues note that the stairs leading into unit are steep and the stair case to the loft area is pretty treacherous (although kids would love that space and probably be fine with the stairs). Otherwise the property was perfect for us. We took a bike ride, used the pool, very relaxing. We did have a problem with GoogleMaps taking us to the same address in a different town; the host tried to assist us over the phone but the language barrier was an issue. Not the host fault but just beware of Google Maps. "
"Positive: the room/apartment was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Our stay was short, one night and out the next day. We were within walking distance to a grocery store but most restaurants were not open for dinner in the area, which seemed odd.
Negative; the listing gives the impression that this is a hotel, but it is more like an apartment building that has been a little run down. I’m not sure where ‘lakefront’ comes from but there is certainly not a lake within view at all. This was a completely residential area. A peek out the living room window shows a home a couple lots over with a rural feel to it but that is certainly not seen from the front of this building.
Unfortunately, the restaurant and bar were not open, it was under renovation, and that would have been nice to know because that was our original plan for food.
I don’t like to post anything negative about a listing, especially when our comfort level was fine. I’m only posting this note because the advertising differs from the actual reality. "
