One night family stay

We had a perfect stay with 1- and 4-year-old kids. Hotel, the rooms and spa are very nice. Not the newest ones, but still very good and clean. Breakfast was okay, but nothing special. The walk to the downtown baden baden is doable but lengthy. However, that didn't bother us and we hoped that could have stayed longer.

Beds had a very thin duvet cover which required two duvet covers for a double bed so in effect you had two covers that were very thin to cover your body. Common sense would say a couple sleeping together would want one big cover. Asked for big cover and said none, considering it’s a very cold climate at times there, no blankets provided. Asked at reception as no telephone in room and received a short reply that they don’t have them and that’s tough luck, they couldn’t care less. God help a couple on their honeymoon!!

One word: TERRIBLE! We chose this hotel because its website clearly advertised air-conditioned rooms. Yes, there was air conditioning, but it did not cool the room. It only blew air, and the room stayed far too warm during the day and at night. We reported the issue several times, asked for a room change and for a technician. We were told the other rooms were just as warm and that technicians had already checked the issue several times without finding a solution. This makes it seem like the problem has existed for quite some time and is still unresolved. What made it worse was the lack of real support on site. There was no visible manager, no proper alternative, and not even complimentary water was offered. The reception staff seemed overwhelmed, and other guests were also visibly upset about the same issue. Hygiene was also disappointing: some towels were dirty, and there were dead flies and insects around the hotel, including in the breakfast area. The restaurant felt hectic and poorly organized as well. After our stay, we contacted management and received a small compensation, which we acknowledge. However, this does not change the fact that the stay itself was very disappointing. Overall, this was not only about the air conditioning. It was the combination of poor management, no real solutions, hygiene issues, overwhelmed staff, difficult parking, and no visible leadership. We cannot recommend this hotel and would not stay there again, not even for free...

Juste envie de faire une coupure pendant 36h. J’avais réservé la chambre pour 3 personnes, elle n’était prête que pour 2… Nous avons dû attendre une bonne demi heure que ce soit fait avant de pouvoir profiter des infrastructures. Sinon c’était propre et la literie confortable. Seul bémol, le petit déjeuner, sous dimensionné par rapport aux nb de personnes. L’essentiel y est, mais nous attendions plus de choix et de produits pour ce type d’établissement.

Das Hotel hat eine gute Lage. Bis ins Zentrum kann man entlang des Flusses in etwa 20 Minuten gemütlich zu Fuß gehen. Alle Getränke im Zimmer, einschließlich der Minibar, waren kostenlos, was ein großer Pluspunkt war. Die Zimmer sind modern, neu und sehr gemütlich. Der Pool war besonders schön und angenehm. Das Personal im Hotel war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Im Flur des Hotels gab es allerdings einen etwas ungewöhnlichen Geruch. Insgesamt war der Aufenthalt aber sehr angenehm und ich würde das Hotel weiterempfehlen.
