"The hotel had recently been renovated and this had created a number of problems. There was no shower screen or shower curtain so, however carefully we showered, it was impossible not to flood the bathroom floor. And the rooms and corridors had been laid with laminate flooring which amplified footsteps and voices, creating unnecessary noise. The staff were friendly but seemed inexperienced and uncertain.
