If it's your first time travelling during the COVID-19 outbreak, you'll notice plenty of new rules and standards in place. Take note of these tips and make your journey to Azuchi Oshima a smooth one:

• Find out if any travel restrictions apply to your destination and origin before locking in your flight. Also check if there are any special conditions you'll have to follow on arrival, such as proof of a negative COVID-19 test.
• You must wear a face mask at the airport, including at screening checkpoints. Be ready to adjust your mask to verify your identity when asked by a TSA officer.
• Instead of handing a TSA agent your boarding pass, position it straight on the scanner yourself. Once that's done, hold it up for inspection.
• TSA is now permitting passengers to take one container of hand sanitizer, up to 12 oz (350 ml) in size, in carry-on luggage. This will need to be removed from your bag and submitted for screening.
• Empty everything from your pocket, like your wallet, coins and keys, and place them in your carry-on rather than the bins. This will reduce handling during screening.
• If you want to take food through the security checkpoint, put it in a clear plastic bag and then into a screening bin. This lessens the likelihood that a TSA agent will need to touch your carry-on bag or food container for closer inspection.
