And what could be better than right next door to a zoo, an adventure park, and a singing pirate ship that goes right past your room if you get one overlooking the water! I had a great time. "My family spent 4 nights at Hovdestøylen over the Easter long weekend. We had a 3-bedroom unit in a wing next to the main hotel that was modern and well equipped. A cross-country ski trail runs right past the hotel, and the downhill ski centre is about a 5 min drive away. Parking can be a little crowded during the après-ski hours but we always managed to find a place. Nice bar area with large screen TV, fireplace and shuffleboard. Very friendly service in the bar/restaurant and at reception."

"This hotel is in a historical building, in a lovely little coastal town. The hotel is beautifully decorated. Our room was small, but well appointed. I couldn’t help but admire the little window. Sadly this room(215), did not have a view of the harbour, although the hotel is located right on the harbour. The hotel is wonderful, however it’s the owners and staff that truly make it a special place. We met some of the kindest, and friendliest people at Hotel Norge Lillesand. I highly recommend a stay here. It’s delightful. The town is very small and walkable, with several points of interest. "
