Beautiful, comfortable hotel in stunning location. Breakfast was great & staff was nice. Main negative is that showers are AWFUL - flood entire bathroom, not enough pressure to wash long hair, but this is not uncommon in Norwegian hotels (why??). Overall recommend

Our curtains are falling off. Marks in the walls. Food order incorrect so as to be inedible. But no charge. But hungry. Large stretchers carrying linens in my hallway. Unsightly. Good tv. Better than we’ve had so far in Norway. Staff on the whole are quite good and versed well in English. Not a good value for the money

I liked the hotel, I (being a semi-regular) always like this hotel. However, the switches for electricity in my room were poorly planned (or I could not figure out how to use them). Kind of strange that hotel management has not addressed this issue. Other than that, a very nice hotel.

Here’s a sharper version—firm and critical without sounding unreasonable: This is a nice place, but our experience was seriously affected by the hotel hosting two corporate groups during our stay. Regular hotel guests were clearly treated as a lower priority. The dinner menu available to us was essentially reduced to burgers, while the proper set menu and a noticeably better level of service were reserved for the corporate groups. It took considerable insistence, and ultimately the intervention of a very kind and helpful kitchen manager, before we were finally offered the set menu and seated in one of the nicer areas of the hotel. His efforts were genuinely appreciated. What I find particularly disappointing is that none of this was communicated to us before our stay. Guests should be informed in advance when a hotel chooses to significantly restrict its normal dining options and service in order to accommodate corporate events. Had we known, we could have decided whether the hotel was still worth booking under those circumstances. Paying hotel guests should not be made to feel secondary simply because larger corporate groups are staying at the property.

Ble tilbudt et rom rett ved hotellets ute terrassen, med mye støy. Fikk flyttet til 3 etg mot hage. Rommet var ikke rengjort, men ble fikset etter 20 min. Ellers ok opphold.

This hotel was disappointing. I expected higher quality of services in relation with the cost of the room and the hotel reputation. I received a compensation for the discomfort I had to face and I am grateful for that, but when you are on vacation you don't want to experiment bad situations. Last remark: stop sending emails/messages in Norwegian only, if you want tourists to feel good in your hotel.

Fine, romslige annex, veldig god queensize bed, parkering med gode lademuligheter for el bil. Rent og ryddig. Høflige og flinke ansatte. Fantastisk utsikt mot privat sandstrand fra hotellets superkoselige hage. Nydelig beliggenhet i idylliske omgivelser.
