Summary:
Set above Hekerua Bay, Hekerua Bay Retreat combines wide water views with a large deck for outdoor dining, BBQs and time together in the sun. Open-plan living connects directly to the deck, while the flexible bedroom layout works particularly well for families or friends. Palm Beach is around a 10-minute walk downhill, with Oneroa a short drive away.
The Space:
The large deck and wide views across Hekerua Bay are the standout features of Hekerua Bay Retreat. Elevated above native bush, the home looks out across the water, with the main living spaces positioned to make the most of the outlook.
The open-plan kitchen, dining and lounge form the central living area of the house, with large doors opening directly onto the deck. This creates an easy connection between indoors and out and gives families or groups plenty of shared space during their stay.
Outside, the generous deck is set up with outdoor dining, a BBQ and seating overlooking the bay. It effectively becomes a second living area, with room for meals outside, relaxed afternoons and evenings enjoying the view.
The four bedrooms are arranged across different levels of the home, providing useful separation from the main living areas. The master bedroom has a king bed and its own ensuite bathroom. Upstairs, the second bedroom has a split king bed that can be configured as twins.
Downstairs is another king bedroom, along with the bunk room, which has a double bed on the bottom and a single bed above and is particularly suited to children or teenagers.
There are 2.5 bathrooms in total, making the layout practical for families or groups of up to eight guests.
