Great rooms, property was very clean, comfortable beds. It had everything we needed. The road was a bit noisy but apart from that, it was perfect for our group.

Not the greatest experience
The location and size of the house were great for a family stay. The check in process is difficult with needing to drive to another property and collect a key, before driving back to the apartment. Not sure why there isn’t a lock box option like every other rental. Could make things difficult for people without a car. The check in/out times are listed incorrectly on the Stayz website and when we made several attempts to contact the owners before check in we were told there would be a $120NZD charge (despite the website saying $60NZD) There are cameras every where around the properly including front door where we were being watched while unloading our car/luggage. The aircon didn’t work and hardly cooled the house down at all during an NZ summer (also left a message for some assistance without anyone returning our call) No instructions for appliances such as AC, oven, intercom etc. There is a huge outdoor decking with no outside furniture or areas for families to sit. The dishwasher is also not secured properly in the cavity - with the entire unit falling out 3 times during our stay. Worst of all the linen in 3 of the 4 bedrooms were smeared with small blood stains and bugs. We have stay all around the world and rarely leave reviews of bad experiences but definitely some issues the owners need to address. Email also sent to agent with photos outlining issues above
The house was spacious, but there was no outdoor furniture, so no where really to sit. The A/C was difficult to get to work where we wanted it to. The sheets in the main room had blood smears on them-very disappointing and disgusting to find, makes me wander whether the linen is clean or not between guests.
Generally the accommodation was good standard. Two flights of stairs to bedrooms, is not for less agile seniors. Kitchen provisions should have at least one or two disposable dish-cloths, as we had to use a facecloth. Otherwise kitchen had good equipment for a couple of meals in, but bring your own salt and pepper. Plenty of teas but cheap coffee.
