Warm inviting cabin located in Au Train, Michigan. Look out your window and watch the gentle river flow, or better yet, sit on the large covered porch. Either way, you won't be farther than 50 feet from the water. If you're looking for adventure, this area has it all. Hiking biking, ATV's, snowmobile trails right down the road. But this river is known for its kayak and canoeing. It stretches nearly 7 miles, yet you end up 0.5 miles from where you started. Fish in the river or head up to Au Train lake. The lake is great for water sports, bird watching or swimming with a sand beach and campground. The sandy shores of Lake Superior are only 1 mile away. Located between Munising and Marquette, Au Train is the perfect place to settle down and enjoy all the U.P. has to offer. Firewood is available for purchase onsite

On the River

It was a nice setting right on the river. Host had a nicely stocked kitchen. Beds were very comfortable. The area was peaceful and quiet!

Great location for many UP attractions.

This was a great place to stay with easy access to Pictured Rock, Munising, and Marquette. The river was lovely, the beach was close, and the house had plenty of room for us. I would recommend this place to anybody.

2024 family vacation

A Yooper Experience

Great stay at a great property! Cindy is a great host who provides all of the necessary essentials for those coming from an out of town trip! The sauna and kayaks were a cherry on top!

Lots of amenities, right on the river, lots of children’s games, shampoo, conditioners, plenty of towels, plenty of blankets. You cannot beat the price for this place that sleeps 12 people!!!

Great Location

Quick access to the river with kayaks provided by the host. Plenty of room for our group of 10. Comfortable beds and plenty of towels. Cindy was very responsive to our requests. Recommend this property to anyone.

Best rental Ever!

This is the best cabin ever, best location, right by the river, close to the beach. This cabin has everything you could need and every year it gets better and better. This year she has fire wood on property! Thanks Cindy for another great vacation!

Cute place next to river

The place was very cute with every you'd need. In the process of remodeling some things, and a couple of things will be fixed up I'm sure, but will be fine when completed. It was nice that the river was right there, and kayaking was fun for everyone!

Best Vacation rental

This cabin is the best! We will be staying here for the 3rd time this summer. The location is perfect, the property is lovely and well maintained. The owner is fantastic. I can’t say enough good things about this cabin! We love going rock hunting and to the local beaches, there are great hiking places and shops close by. I definitely recommend the white fish bites at uncle duckies, the pictures rocks boat tours, the bear rescue and of course a few waterfall hikes.

Family Wedding

Home had everything we needed plus some. Loved the toys and games available for all ages. Only thing I would suggest is while its under construction to hang a curtain up for a bedroom door. It overall worked out perfectly for us and would definitely stay again.

Snowmobile Trip

More upgrades than advertised. Plenty of room. Parking tight for a full size truck and 4 sled trailer, overflow parking available but not aware until after we were settled. Cabin marking gone from the main sign so difficult to find at first but easy to get to after we knew where we were going. If snowmobiling you have to ride the road to get to the trail system. Host attentive and accommodating.

Picked a Perfect Spot

Our summer vacation started off late and we had limited options until we found this spot which was perfect. For a family that is active, this location has everything needed from access to beaches, swimming, kayaking, fishing or just exploring - the perfect spot to put down a base camp. The owners are attentive and communicate quickly. They are very open to answering questions and the check-in/out process was seamless. Honestly, just a great location that is a bit rugged but quiet at night. We were able to cook some meals and the kitchen is fully stocked to be able to have a decent meal. All in all, if we return back to the area, we would definitely see about it's availabilty.

Great cabin in a lovely location!

We had a short two night stay at this property, and loved it! The house is located near several other rental cabins, and despite the fact that most were occupied at the time, the whole area was super quiet. We didn't stay long enough to enjoy the riverfront access, but it would definitely be an added bonus for those looking to kayak/canoe in the area. The house is spacious and comfy--it truly felt like a home instead of a rental. The living room furniture and beds are super comfy. The kitchen had everything you could need and more. We didn't have phone service in the area, but the home's Wifi was fast and efficient. The home serves as a fantastic base for travel to the cute nearby town of Munising (highly recommend the Pictured Rocks Cruise, by the way) and Au Train Beach is literally less than five minutes away. The host was super responsive and kind, and extremely helpful. If you are looking to get away from it all in the UP, this is the place to book!
