We booked this without reading previous reviews. Big mistake. I never had any communication from the host, and never was able to get check in directions. We were forced to find other accommodations. Fortunately, VRBO refunded our booking, since they too could not contact the host.

My siblings and I and our kids were all coming from different states to visit my father and we had this booked about six weeks in advance. We were excited about this being a great place to spend time together. After seeing the one star review that came in after we booked, I reached out to the owner to gain confidence that it was a fluke and that our stay would be as expected. I heard nothing back and then had VRBO try to contact him a few days ahead of our stay, but still, nothing. Then the morning we were supposed to arrive he canceled, saying it was already booked. This was not a great experience for us and hopefully the owner will get it together!
