"This cabin is very clean and comfortable. We especially liked all the outdoor seating areas, from the chairs by the river to the upper deck with gas fireplace! Ryan was very prompt in responding to all of my questions and comments."

I grew up close by & my parents live around the corner so it made it easy to visit with them. There is easy access to all my favorite places downtown and the lake, aka Hungry mother Park. I cannot wait to come back and commune with my favorite VA backroads ."

"This was the perfect place for me and my family. The accommodations were as described and the peace and serenity of the view and critters were an added bonus. We enjoyed playing board games and enjoying one anothers company. The only negative was no wifi password was available, but that lent itself well to more family time, so not a major issue and possibly something I overlooked. We loved it and look forward to the next visit!"

"There was some confusion over reservation but host took care if it. Problem with water but host was getting it taken care of. Location was nice. Very steep dirt grassy driveway. Rain and snow could make it difficult if not impossible to to get up. No check in or check out instructions. No large garbage can outside. With all yhis said the host did all he could do to make sure we had what we needed."

"Things I liked about the property: Convenient location to many great fishing location, house old but very clean, quiet, plenty of parking, nice fridge/freezer and kitchen appliances and cooking utensils. Things I wish were better: furniture not comfortable, bed pillows were clean but not comfy, small bathroom, toilet worked but low water pressure. Would stay again and better than a hotel."

"Our family stayed in this historic property for a celebration of life of family members who passed away recently. The beautiful and spacious front porch with rocking chairs and a swing was an amazing place to share laughter and memories while the kids played in the expansive front lawn. There was plenty of room for everyone, and the neighborhood and surrounding area was quiet and peaceful. The fire pit was enjoyed by all for s'mores and storytelling. "What a relaxing weekend! No phones, TV, internet. Awesome place to get away from it all. So peaceful and nice. The Bunk house was really cool. Decorated just right. It was cold so we made use of the wood stove which gave off the best warmth. Beautiful surroundings. Great place to stay. Highly recommend!"

"This house has even more space and charm than the photos convey! The house is situated on a nice, quiet street in a lovely area. I loved the roominess, tasteful decor, the screened porch and yard and more. The hosts were communicative and responsive to every need. In fact, they seemed to anticipate every need and desire ahead of time. This has been the best experience and we would stay here again and again!"

"This house and property were great! It was in a good location, was easy to find, and was very peaceful and quiet. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our time here. We are all over 70, one is 83, so we were not looking to do much other than just be together and relax. We just wanted to get out of town for a couple of nights. Would recommend it to others. M.B."

"The cabin was a great place to stay while adventuring in Grayson Highlands State Park and riding down the Virginia Creeper bike trail. The setting is peaceful and we enjoyed watching deer and wild turkeys while sitting on the back deck. The cabin was clean and as described. We took the recommendations of the owner and bought basic groceries and had dinner in Lansing. We would recommend this cabin to friends and hope to return in the future!"
