"Although the location on Lake Rosseau was perfect, the cottage, and the property, were poorly maintained. During our 2nd week, the cottage was invaded by squirrels, via a disconnected chimney flue in the basement, and food destroyed in the kitchen and droppings left everywhere. Part of the boathouse dock had rotted away and was not safe to access as noted with orange caution tape. The property was littered with disused sections of drainage pipe, an abandoned TV antenna tower, and a precariously leaning outhouse which was used for storage (not a pretty sight). While I can appreciate the challenges associated with owning an older cottage, my family and I were disappointed with the overall maintenance of Sunset Retreat and have rated it accordingly."

"Had a wonderful 10-day trip for 5. Plenty of space, great views and clean property. Home is stocked with only the basics so ensure you bring everything you need. The inclinator is an easy way down to the dock but be careful if you take the stairs- they are steep and narrow. "
