Our stay in the chapel was simply amazing! We were a group of five adults, including two teenagers and a dog, and there was more than enough room for everyone to enjoy their own space. The chapel is absolutely gorgeous and provides all the essentials, including washing up liquid, dishcloths, dishwasher tablets, hand soap, and even Bayliss and Harding shower gel in all the bathrooms. Fluffy white towels and bathrobes were also provided—the amenities seemed endless! The surrounding area offers lovely walks for the dog, and conveniently, these strolls lead you right past the local pub, the Black Lion, where you can enjoy a drink after your adventures. The cinema room in the chapel is fantastic, and we thoroughly enjoyed playing pool together, also not forgetting the Hot Tub.....plenty of testing strips and chlorine tablets provided, we tested it every day and had no problems. The windows in the chapel were a bit of a puzzle to open, but we soon sussed out that both locks on the window need to open the same direction, not opposite directions as we were doing, they both need to be turned clockwise so the opener is facing 3 O'clock. As the chapel is very well insulated, opening all the windows helps to keep it cool as we found out during a heat wave. The village itself is charming, with a shop just across the road and an amazing pub only two minutes away that serves delicious food and even better beer. Everyone in the village is friendly, especially Carly, the owner of Miss Mollett's Tea Rooms, which is definitely worth a visit. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a self-catering getaway that offers added luxuries. We will definitely be back. Kent is truly a beautiful county, and our time spent at the chapel was unforgettable!
Not a criticism, but maybe an outdoor dining table and chairs and a few more cups.
