Great location to Mt. Rainier National Park, you can get much closer. The little cabin we stayed in was clean, comfy and the breakfast basket was a huge plus and appreciated. The property was beautiful to walk through and you are close to the few restaurants in town.
The room is clean, bed comfortable, the water flow in shower is good. Though the lodge itself is old but really well maintained. I love the lake and small trails outside the lodge, very calming!
Property was in a great location and had clean rooms. Staff were friendly and check in and out was easy. The pre-order breakfast option was a great addition.
The romantic suite was quaint and well suited for 2. However, we found that it was quite tight for 3 adults, especially when the sofa bed was fully extended.
What we love most was that the to-go breakfast items were all delivered in our refrigerator the night before, allowing us to take that with us for the hike at 4:30am the next morning.
We also love the trout pond behind the property.
Location of the property --> Short drive to the Paradise entrance.

Considering the location, it was a good property.
You have to plan your food options.
It’s a great choice, if you’re are looking to spend most of your time in park.
It’s old, but it was clean.
This was unbelievable!! I was already going to write a great review because of the location and also because we received two free wonderful breakfast packages for both mornings before our hikes. But then upon checking in we were upgraded to the most gorgeous room, spacious, clean and just stunning. As well the staff and manager couldn’t be more beautiful people. What a wonderful place for us to enjoy Mt Rainier!!! 5 +++ stars
Exactly as expected for a historical lodge. The staff was wonderful. This is our fifth stay but first in 20 years. Pleased they added AC, TV, refrigerator and microwave. The koi pond and outside is welcoming rest area after long walks at Mt Rainier. Elbe, close by, has wonderfully eclectic eateries for dinner while the inn provides a nice breakfast option. We’ll be back.
The property has a large pond with a small stream spilling into it. The pond is full of rainbow trout that school beside a patio. You can feed the fish if you want to. We sipped wine and watched the fish for a few hours. It was so relaxing. The next morning we were sitting on a small privateporch adjacent to our room when to deer walked up to within 10 feet of us to enjoy berries that were growing on vines in the garden. The hosts were very accommodating, even offering a wine chiller and glasses for us to enjoy our wine. We would definitely stay there again.
Highly recommend Alexander's Lodge! Great accommodations. Grounds are awesome! Staff is so friendly and helpful. Located a short distance from Mt Rainier National Park.
We had a suite with all bedrooms upstairs and bathroom downstairs. Front desk very helpful at check in and with suggestions on where to eat in town. Suite had a washer/dryer which was a nice surprise. Very convenient to get around.
Great breakfast. Pool and hot tub were great. Staff was friendly and attentive. Excellent location for day trips into Olympic NP and surrounding port towns.

Good place. Outside view was beautiful.
Having broom would be nice to have in the room to maintain clean. Portable AC was leaking a lot of water. Lots of spiders in room.
Alexander Inn was the perfect place to go for a quiet personal retreat. The room was small but well appointed with a refrigerator, coffee maker and microwave. This was very much appreciated since the dining out options were very slim.
The staff person was very friendly and helpful. It was nice to be able to check in before the appointed time.
The backyard was quiet and peaceful and I felt well entertained by the enormous trout in their little lake.
I would definitely go back.
Be prepared to not find anyone at the office, but someone will show up once you call their number and leave a message. Very old mansion that needs much TLC. Staff once accessible, are very friendly and helpful. Canceling a reservation is very difficult, as they demand a 14 day notice. The cabin we were given had a lot of standard amenities, but just not enough and very small.
room clean, but rug old and worn, Lots of weeds even blocking room location signs and water wheel, Never had an on the floor air conditioner with a tube going out the window before. Unit was loud so I didnt use it completely detracted from the charm of the room. didnt sleep well either. Breakfast basket sandwich didnt have a top. The Inn and grounds have nice possibilities, but needs better care. Staff friendly.
We stayed at their Salal Cabin which is brand new & sits back in the woods. It is so adorable & comfortable. It has a fantastic heater system that keeps you the ideal temperature. The furnishings are so lovely. The reception staff was so kind & even provided us breakfast for the next day since there are no food establishments close by. The property is so beautiful with a pond & seating area to relax & enjoy the ducks & fish jumping. We will absolutely be returning. It is so close to Mt. Rainier entrance; we got into the park in minutes.
