Great place to stay. Food was great in their restaurant. Only suggestion would be is to remove carpeting in the rooms for a cleaner feel.

Quaint place beside the river. Concierge when checking in is very friendly and helpful. Room was clean, bed was comfortable. Building could use some tlc and a deep clean. Would stay again.
Impressive history and location makes this Inn a definite stay while travelling through the Goderich area.
The decor may be a little dated, but very clean.
The attentive service, delicious meal and walking the substantial grounds made us smile.
Our one night stay meant we didn't have time to sample the Pool or Spa.
Beautiful setting and grounds! The rooms were spotlessly clean, staff and parking was good. i didn't eat at the property
The rooms and cmmon areas need tp be updated.
Fantastic view of the river and charming interior with lots of lights. Just cobwebs in hallways and some bugs crawling in the room. Other than that everything was great.
This was a lovely experience and so relaxing... the pool and it's deck are great though the hottub is not what is expected... no powerful jets maybe due to the age? I am guessing...
Goderich is near by and they have a great flee market on Sundays.
The whole place is charming and so beautiful. We had 2 great dinners and everything was on point. Thank you chef. 😀 We will be back!
The hotel is very rustic. The doors looked like they were made of old barn doors so they creaked and didn’t look very secure. However, the room was clean and well maintained. A little out of the way but it had nice grounds.
Beautiful old inn. Room was huge. Pool was great. Staff excellent. Food for the most part was amazing. We even were introduced to music bingo!!!

Property and buildings were tired and required a lot of TLC.
Our room in the spa area was musty and tired. Windows were dirty.
Air purifiers in the halls seemed to have no effect.
Dining area was adequate but had windows looking out over the property which looked like the hadn’t been cleaned in years.
The staff was excellent.
Overall tired facilities but good staff.
The hotel is very dated, and not luxurious. The in-room amenities leave much to be desired. Poor shower pressure, awful toilet paper, few towels. The pool and hot tub were ok. The sauna was wonderful. The entire place is in great need of updating. The exception is the dining lounge. The food was amazing.
After a long bike ride on the G2G trail, we were happy to arrive to a clean room and to beautiful outdoor surroundings. As mentioned in other reviews, the rooms are like stepping back into the 70's but ours was spacious and clean. The bed is comfortable and the bedding is modern and cozy.
We loved having breakfast out on the restaurant patio and having a view of the gardens. The staff were all helpful and pleasant, this included the maintenance staff, spa staff and dining staff.
We would return again!
This is such a lovely property and lovely stay. Enjoyed the spa, the pool and hot tub. I wish the hot tub had jets but it was still nice. The area is beautiful. It is very restful and relaxing. Not far from Goderich and Bayfield. This is an older facility and you have to be able to navigate stairs. I think the historical aspect is part of the draw. The breakfast and dinners were amazing. The rooms offer privacy and you cannot hear what your neighbours are doing. This is a wonderful little getaway and I recommend it.
This is a beautiful property! So peaceful and serene. The staff was very nice at check in and restaurant staff were excellent as well. The food was superb. We had a very spacious room overlooking the River which was wonderful too. We will definitely book there again!

Staff was excellent and helpful, restaurant was superb with great table service. Sunday buffet was extraordinary with great variety and ambience. Room service was as needed, no daily fresh-up. Property grounds are impressive as is the locale with great history. We stayed in the Woolen Mill, the original facility. As mentioned by other visitors, the rooms need updating in the paint and general care. Senior visitors need to note that stairs and bathrooms have no assistive devices such as grab bars and slip free tub surfaces. Given the number of guests that would fit the senior label we found that surprising.
Overall, a pleasant 3 days.

The property is very clean comfortable beds. Friendly helpful awesome staff. The carpet needs replacing. The food is mediocre and expensive. The location is beautiful.
We really liked the restaurant - this is the shining star of Benmiller Inn.
The owner Akbar Manji - needs to put in some capital to enhance the properties experience. Especially the carpets in the rooms near the spa. The staff are very friendly especially the restaurant staff!
We had a nicely appointed room with a balcony and a view of the Maitland River. The staff at the Inn and dining room were helpful and knowledgeable.
Also the food we had at dinner was excellent!
