"We had quite an amazing experience at Marvel Hills. Location very good for local access, complete privacy in the room, and a host who was quite exceptional. Freshly prepared local cuisine for breakfast, great chats with the host, he even arranged for a local spice seller to come and see us, so now we have enough, high quality, spices to last for a good while. "Like the idea that you can fill up the water in the reception - rather than giving the bottled water. The room was clean and quiet. Hotel in good location near the central market and the temple of tooth. We had a short but lovely stay. "

The only negative does not relate to the hotel itself maybe more about the city of Kandy, its very nosey and busy, we were hounded by local traders and drivers all day which compared to other parts of the country we would not have the same experienceits "
"Everyone in the staff was so welcoming and helpful. My 87yr old father, who cannot walk more than 10 meters, was with us. The care everyone showed him was remarkable.

"Fantastic service from the staff. Great room with million dollar views. Most comfortable bed I have slept in Sri Lanka. Beautiful rooftop with great infinity pool overlooking Kandy lake. Very walkable location - to the city in minutes! The only negative is that the hotel could not handle the volume of guests at breakfast. Many dishes were empty and kept empty for ages. The hoppers we ordered took 2 hours to come! This was the day after the Randoli Perahera so is assume they were not equipped to handle this number of guests.
Looking forward to staying here again. A true gem run by the nicest staff ever!
