"We are a family of 6 stayed in 2 rooms in The Radh Hotel in Kandy in July 2026. This is an immaculate property, close to most important attractions of Kandy, Sri Lanka. Our stay was absolutely fabulous. The place is safe. Staffs are extremely courteous, professional, attentive and helpful. "I initially had some issues with this facility, with the room and bathroom cleanliness. However, management rectified it and the remainder of my stay went smoothly. Property is somewhat dated. The replacement room was orderly. Good location, staff were attentive and polite. As far as a hotel rating goes, it is about a 2-2.5 star facility. The breakfast buffet is planned based on guest nationality, when I tried it, it was mainly an Indian breakfast, but I found items I liked to eat! Lack of an elevator has to be disclosed IMO for safety of the guests and disabled guests. Food choices can be limited based on occupancy, primarily for Lunch and Dinner. There are many eateries in the city of Kandy nearby and they are easy to get to."

"Beautiful stay at the grand serendib. I booked this hotel after reading some reviews and liking the pictures and it did not disappoint. In a great location just up the hill from KANDY centre away from the hustle and bustle. Amazing views from the huge room and balcony, the restaurant for breakfast and pool area then on the floor above a gorgeous rooftop bar and restaurant which we ate in a few nights with lovely entertainment Another night we got room service and ate on our balcony as we were so tired from our day trip and thw food standard and service was just as good. The pool was slightly smaller than I thought but we managed to get beds and was lovely and chilled. We also had a massage on our first day at the spa which was fabulous and very reasonably priced. All the staff couldnt do enough to make your stay memorable and the welcome drink and wet towel on arrival was a nice touch. Also recommend a car service for us to get from the airport."

"A heritage property with charm. Lovely gardens, infinity pool and common areas. Staff are friendly and do all to help. The location is elevated and a quick tuk into town or walk. As travelling solo I booked a double room and not on the larger. Whilst they are clean and comfortable with all you need I would suggest book a larger room if you can as there was no natural light in the rooms as there were shutters that were covered. It was ok as I sat in common areas to read etc. Just a heads up. Also as the room backs on to back of house areas you could hear lots of noise so recommend ear plugs. The breakfast was lovely and served in the garden area. The staff work hard perhaps a little overstretched as one person seemed to be doing most tasks and working exceptionally hard. Whilst it doesn’t have views etc the vibe of the property is a welcome change to the usual standard 4-5 star hotel that all feel the same. I would happily stay again just pick one of the larger rooms."
