"First, the communication with the host in English was very good. The description of the cueva was close to the pictures but incomplete and misleading.We could not have figured out that every room had a separate outdoor access, therefore a total of 5 different keys with no identification of which door it opened.After 15 minutes of struggle with the different locks which were in dreadful conditions, we finally figured out that only the kitchen and main bedroom communicated. "Pros: After the explanations from Begona (the host), it was quite easy to find the apartment and get the keys. It is 1 minute walking from the coast path which we enjoyed the first evening. The apartment had everything we needed, including the washing mashine and a parking slot. Cons: Peaceful place means that the apartment is far from any shops or restaurants - you should keep it in mind. We ended up going for diner to Galdar (where you should be ready to search for parking)."

"The Don Miguel is a very nice hotel , but sadly she is starting to show her age. The staff are warm and friendly and very helpful. I was in room 49 and found the bathroom outdated and difficult to get to the W.C. You have to go into the bathroom with the door open (obviously) , then stand with your heels against the bath. Then close the bathroom door and make a tight squeeze between the sink unit and the pan to sit down. I found the mattress to hard and the pillows were a disaster. Apart from the that it's very good value for money. Just needs some T.L.C and a magic wand."
