Very responsive

There was a storm and they let us stay more time. They were caring. They also brought us propane when we needed it. Loved our stay. We are coming again next week.

Peaceful, Rustic Retreat

This modest cabin was perfectly suited for spending a quiet 4th of July weekend with my dogs. The house itself is a little older (and smaller) than most of the surrounding properties but is clean and well-maintained. Everything was as advertised and I appreciated that the hosts provided some dog-related items, e.g., a separate towel for their use after hikes. One item of note: although not listed among the amenities there is a ceiling fan above the landing at the top of the stairs, as well as a pair of portable ones. For those who enjoy hiking there are numerous trails within easy driving distance. Overall, a very good experience.

super cute

the furniture needs major cleaning, but all appliances worked and internet was good. bummer that there is only a half bath upstairs, and only one bath in the whole house.. there was missing baseboards and mold in the downstairs bathroom.

Good little home cozy .with bare essentials

It was a nice stay .the pubic hairs in the bathrooms was disgusting.the dishes in dishwashers ,had to figure out where to put everything left inside .the snow shovel was for a 4 year old and broken ,tgat took 3 hours to get another .Early check in is not controlled nor can be addressed by vacasa.we we’re in front of the house 3 hours prior to check in and the house had been cleaned prior vacasa has NO support to help the renter to get in early they are a complete joke.every time I called them they said they would text me .never did .horrendous customer service .I would not pay this third party company to manage my rental .GARVAGE .

Outdated and not clean

We were excited to find a cabin in the woods for the July 4th weekend, but disappointed that it was not clean and outdated. The bathrooms, bedrooms, floors, and furniture were dirty. There was even leftover soap in the bathroom with a hair on it. One of the bedrooms was made well, while the others were not. All the linens/floor mats should get replaced, floors swept, rugs/furniture vacuumed, and bathroom should get a deep clean. The only thing that was clean was the kitchen and the dinnerware/utensils. Location was fine, close to activities. We will not be returning.

check out time

The check out time of 10 am was a bit earlier than most places we stay but the place was perfect for us. We even found an epic sledding hill at the North end of the neighborhood. Thanks again

Great place in a great, convenient location for skiing. House was not as clean as first impression.

Property manager was slow to respond to our request to start our stay early and then responses were vague. Our stay was pleasant and the house equipped with the necessities. Not as clean as we first thought, but nothing objectionable.

Great cozy cabin

This was a great getaway. There is 1 bedroom on the first floor and 2 more upstairs. We had my father in law, in his 70’s, so we’re glad to have 1 room downstairs to accommodate him. We had some car trouble during a crazy storm and they were very kind and flexible about our check out time until we could get the tow truck there. We will definitely stay again. A short drive to Calaveras Big Trees State Park was a Huge plus, such a beautiful place to walk in the trees.

Girl's Weekend

Had a wonderful, relaxing weekend here with my daughters. Unfortunately the closure of the National Forests derailed our plans for spending a day at Lake Alpine, but we found plenty to do in Arnold (The Peddler's Market) and in Downtown Muphy to keep us busy when out and about. While at the cabin, we enjoyed the quiet wooded neighborhood setting, charming home and well appointed kitchen for cooking in. The local Big Trees Market in Arnold was surprisingly full of sophisticated selections for good food and wine. (made an amazing charcuterie board for an easy dinner our 1st night and delicious bbque salmon and grilled vegetables the next!) All in all a cool looking, cozy home away from home that I would reccomend.

Great Location

The location is great. Close to popular destinations. However, the house appliances (e.g. gas leak from the stove) and some doors and blinds need repair/maintenance.

Great quiet retreat

Far enough from the Highway 4 noise but close enough to recreation at Big Trees, Arnold, and Lake Alpine. Well furnished with the basics and a good, functional kitchen. Roomy space, but watch your head on the A frame beams around the edges of the rooms.

Location, baby!

What a lovely area. With three adults and two dogs wanting to escape the Fourth of July fireworks, this was a darn nice spot. Always, it's "location, location." Close to hiking. Close to the little burg of Arnold. And, best of all, surrounded by mostly quiet. We enjoyed the cabin's deck and the strolls around the "neighborhood. I do wish there was a "welcome and instructions" book. The TV seemed to have limited options (at least in our quest to figure it out), but who cares . . . being outdoors was better than being inside. Still, it would have been nice to have some book explaining cabin rules and options.
