"The staff and location are excellent. It’s literally across the street from the train and main Mainz bus stations. The hotel doesn’t offer any special amenities like say a Hilton would, but to be honest most of us basically want a clean, safe and comfortable place to lie our heads down at night. Some rooms have carpeting and others wooden floors. There was an issue with my first room hours after I arrived. The staff wasted NO TIME in moving me to another room. They knew I was traveling alone so they made a special point of always engaging with and checking in on me. I’ll be coming to the area often during the course of this year and will be using this hotel as my base while in Mainz. During my 7 day stay I didn’t eat breakfast in the hotel but it looked like a delicious spread. "

"We stayed in the "Comfort Double Room" part of the hotel, and the place was far from 4-star superior quality. It felt like an unmaintained 1980s relic with unpleasant red shag carpet and almost zero soundproofing. The room was objectively dirty and hazardous: Hygiene: There was active mold on the bathroom ceiling and in the shower grout. The toilet had a visible brown biofilm build-up under the rim, and the water faucet was covered in heavy limescale. Expired Food: I found coffee creamers that had expired over 100 days ago (Dec 2025) and minibar chips expired by two months. Security: While we were out, housekeeping took an active key card from our room without explanation. We had to go back to the desk to reprogram everything because we didn't know who had it. Service: Breakfast service was incredibly slow; it took a very long time just to get a coffee. Management provided a partial discount after I showed them the photos, but a refund doesn't fix these health and safety issues. If you book here, be very careful which wing they put you in."

"Really good, but with a bunch of annoyances. Cleaning staff is intrusive, even though could hear me talking. Clothes iron is a small room that you get to share with other guests. "

"Great experience our whole stay. The staff was friendly at check-in, the room was perfect and quiet, breakfast was delicious with a good variety for everyone. We had plenty to eat. Check out was simple."

"The room was clean but tight for two people. There is a period inverted heating and ac season when the room is warm and stuffy but the only way to cool it is to open the windows. The street traffic before was noticeable all during the night. On clear nights one could sleep comfortably without running the heating of the ac with the windows closed. "
