The owner John was great and very informative. We had a pleasant stay and would consider stay there again. Wonderful view from our room. Had a great time just hanging out with John at his bar talking and having a pint of Guinness by the fireplace, before heading off to bed.
Very very cool spot with great views right from your room. Or just taking a walk around to really feel the nature.
The staff are very helpful and deserve the best. Great food for breakfast as well. They have turf burning by the bar to keep guests warm (remember, this is a super old building so be nice about that. This is their only heat source for the main lobby and bar area.)
The room is very comfortable and gives you everything you'd want as a traveler.
The one down side is if youre not driving and carrying luggage. It's about a 10 minute walk from the bus stop but a bit uphill. And it becomes very low light at night which is a bit spooky. But very safe area so nothing to fear!

Beautiful location with a lovely main building that had a dining room and bar. Staff were very friendly and attentive. The building where our room was is somewhat rundown and there was an odd smell when we entered. Our room had a patio overlooking a walled garden that was once lovely but needs to be tended to. There is a pedestrian pathway nearby that goes all the way into town, which was a nice surprise. The breakfast was very good!

The pub in the main house was delightful. Small meals were offered. John is a marvelous host. The staff were wonderful.
Great friendly family owned business . Michael and his staff take the time to chat with you even at the little bar after dinner ! Food was delicious fresh and we even got a phone call the next morning to see if we wanted breakfast before they finished up! Quiet and peaceful location yet you can walk to town easily. We loved it all, Highly recommend to stay here .
What a beautiful location and amazing host. This place is historic. Our kids, ages 10 and 7 loved exploring around the grounds. Breakfast was great. Our room was spacious. What a treat. Close to town.

The pictures of the property on Expedia appear to be older pictures as the property was not as in good condition as appears in the photos. The room was clean. Sitting in the garden was lovely. Staff was helpful. Breakfast was served between 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. However, they didn't start preparing the breakfast until 8:00 a.m. So, if you are like us and had an excursion booked you will need to let the staff know that you are on a timetable.
I loved my stay at Woodhill house . The food was excellent , the staff was friendly, the rooms were clean and I loved the old school slightly rough around the edges look of the place, a true classic guest house . The view is outstanding, and our room was super quiet.
We had a lovely stay at Woodhill House. The room was spacious and we selected the room with the garden which was lovely to sit in and walkabout. We had dinner at the restaurant both nights and the food was delicious, definitely recommend dinning here if you are in Ardara. We really enjoyed having a drink after dinner at the adorable bar too. Thanks James for servicing us many Guinness pints. Excellent service!

Cozy and quaint
Husband and I stayed her for 3 nights. We were pretty busy so we did not get a chance to try breakfast but we did have dinner and it was tasty. Home is very traditional, felt like a warm B&B.
Had a lovely stay in the secluded hotel. Beautiful location tucked in the woods with amazing views. Room was very large and comfortable. The restaurant in the hotel served delicious food and they even have Guinness on tap in the cozy bar. Would def stay again!
Lovely old fashioned house. Great staff, comfortable room with garden and superb food.
Highly recommended.

We love this place. All the staff and managers are so friendly and welcoming. The food is excellent. Both times we have stayed have been in the rooms adjacent to the main building. These all have a small balcony or direct access to the walled garden. The hotel is a lovely 10 minute walk from Ardara. Perfect 👍
I am so glad I found this place! Not only was the staff absolutely phenomenal, but they truly went above and beyond to make my stay as comfortable and easy as possible! Such a cute b&b with friendly and outgoing staff as well as food that is truly out of this world!!!
Very friendly owner and staff. Lovely large comfortable room looking onto the garden.
Unfortunately it being very early in the season the restaurant only opened on the last night of my stay which was a shame as my meal was excellent and I would have eaten in every night if it had been possible.
We had a great stay. The “hotel” has so much character, the owner is awesome - I loved the property, it’s a beautiful distinctive “ home” with lots of history . We had a front room with wonderful views of the countryside . I loved the “ bar” area , beautiful place to relax in after a day of sightseeing .
Place needs an overhaul everything is so old. Faded, you can keep the antiques but get the rugs and Upholstry updated. Wasn’t sure the last time the place had the carpets or furniture professionally cleaned. Charming in many ways, great location, mattress sunk in the middle. The bathrooms were ok. Everything is just ok.
Beautiful countryside and friendly staff. This is a quaint place to stay and near a lovely town. The food was delicious and our room was clean and comfortable. We will definately return.

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
This manor house and walled garden is in a very picturesque setting and within easy walking distance to the village of Ardara. Generously sized room, with comfortable bed, and fresh linens and towels and beautiful outlook on to walled-garden. However, the property and grounds were in a general state of disrepair and could do with a major refresh. Carpets and furniture very worn and dated; noticeable damp and mildew in common rooms and guest room; flower containers around property were either empty or filled with weeds.
Very friendly hospitable host and staff . Beautifully furnished and kept grand old home and gorgeous gardens - thoroughly enjoyed our stay- all too brief.
Woodhill House is a very old property with some bedrooms dating back to 1660. It has a homely feel to it.
The owner is a charming gentleman and my wife and I have stayed there on several occasions over many years.
The food is excellent and the staff friendly.
It is only a short walk from Ardara.

Beautiful location but property in need of updating. The room had a musty smell and was very noisy due to other guests with children overhead. Garden is shared with other rooms.. Kitchen was understaffed so no evening meals available. Breakfast excellent if a little late in the moring. Staff friendly
