"My stay at the Reef House was exactly what I wanted. It has the old Roatan charm to an old dive shop that has the most welcoming staff I have ever met. From the owner Davey to Keith the IT/Bartender and the friendliest cook staff that makes great down home cooking. David the dive master has been out on the reef longer than most have known about Roatan. He knows some really cool places to see."
"Where to begin…the room was dirty, old, broken. There was loud music till 2 am. The shower was a glorified tap. There was no warm water. The only thing we liked was the AC. I stayed in many hostel type places in the past. This one topped the list of the absolute worst. Do yourself a favor and do NOT stay here. "
"I loved the location of this property! The buildings themselves have so much potential. The insides are very outdated and run down. The coffee maker was burnt and stuck to the warming plate and the sheets had drains. BUT you can’t beat the location and super friendly staff. The pool was super clean and warm with a nice outdoor shower. I would definitely come back here if they lowered the price for current condition of the buildings. And I would bring my own sheets. You can’t beat the location...

"We had a great stay.-The view and pool were incredible! Pool temperature was a teeny bit chilly when you first get in but after a bit feels great. The kids were constantly in the pool. - location was nice. drive to the house was super bumpy. The last ten minutes is on dirt road that has a ton of huge potholes, so make sure to plan accordingly when getting your rental car. The drive through that countryside is beautiful though… passing by grazing cattle, etc. feels remote but not too far away from town. We felt safe and walked around a bit, like to the public dock across the street where you can jump in the water. - The kitchen appliances have seen better days (the oven needed to be replaced while we were there, the blender was rusted, etc), but I think that’s part of life right on the beach with all that salty air. Property management was super responsive, and even stopped by when the oven stuff was happening to make sure everything was ok.- wished there were different couches on inside. The outdoor furniture they have in there slips around and the cushions and the slippery fabric slides everywhere when you’re trying to sit down…just not comfortable.Overall, a very beautiful location to stay and the pool, privacy, and view made it worth it for us. "This was an amazing property for our family! The owner provided snorkel gear, kayaks, and a splendid private beach with hammocks. Our kids loved the easy access to the water and splashing around in the pool! We stocked up on groceries and cooked most meals on property as there are limited restaurants nearby. "
"This property was exactly as the pictures showed on the listing! The view from the pool deck overlooked the golf course and the ocean beyond- absolutely beautiful! The layout was great- plenty of room and generous bedroom/bath combos. This was the perfect layout for a family with almost adult children. We rented a golf car(plus had a car) to get to the beach club. The pool was expansive and the beach lovely. Our property manager, Robert, was exceptional. He attended to the few things we needed during our stay quickly. The unit was missing the washing machine and somehow he managed to have it installed within 48 hours on an island- Inhave been all over and never seen anything move that fast. Robert was timely and easy to work with. I highly recommend!
As for the pricing on the electric. We stayed 8 nights and the bill was under $200. Probably only that high because my son keeps his room freezing.
This is an exceptional value at a super property. The island was rugged and beautiful and the people we encountered were fantastic! Make sure to check out Roatan Hope Tours and Vacation Rentals to help with your excursions while on island. Overall, after visiting most of the Caribbean, I would definitely return here. It's pretty special!"
