This cottage is fantastic, well equipped with plenty of features, we thoroughly enjoyed our week here. Set in a lovely location with views across the fields, plenty of wildlife especially the woodpeckers the girls loved seeing these on the feeder outside the front room window. Ideal if you are planning on simply relaxing in the cottage or traveling as the A66 is easily accessible, cosy nights and board games in front of the wood burning fire were magical. Ruth and her family are lovely and very welcoming, our eldest enjoyed helping with the horses which can be seen from the cottage. Lots of fun places for the kids within an hour drive from the cottage, Lake Windermere and the aquarium, South Lakes Safari Zoo and plenty of nice places to walk being close to both the Lake District and North Pennines. Would definitely come again and we highly recommend. The Chambers family 25.10.2024

Had a lovely relaxing stay at High Moor cottage - owner Ruth and family very helpful. Cottage is away from all the noise of busy roads and surrounded be woods and fields which had sheep and lambs Enclosed garden for our dog and a decking area which was a real sun-trap.Would have no hesitation in recommending this cottage to anybody who wants a quiet peaceful break.
