"I enjoyed my stay at Dundee backpackers hostel. The room was clean, the staff were friendly and helpful. The location is ideally situated in the town centre although I think the £161.00 price for 2 nights a little steep. There are informal signs about the history of the building which I found very interesting Recommended"

"Wonderful stay at the Waterfront. Rooms were beautiful and so clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was amazing with a great choice. Parking not great as there is NO actual hotel parking. It’s either local car parks or if you are lucky enough you can park on the street after 5 till 9am other than that there is a long stay car park about 10-15 minutes walk away."
"All good on arrival with friendly reception desk staff and room being ready early. 12 midday.
Very clean hotel. Despite the location of the railway station there is no noise heard at all.
Room was very clean. Quite spacious although rather short of storage space for clothes
Bathroom is VERY compact, wouldn’t suit any more than two people using the room etc
Decent breakfast choices although when it was busy several things had run out all at the same time.
The two members of staff were working very hard to keep everything replenished and clearing tables"
"The room was absolutely beautiful. Check-in was smooth and the check-in team was so lovely and helpful.
We ordered room service, and they were so prompt and lovely.
We enjoyed some food at the Jigger Inn and the staff there were also really amazing. One particular member of staff was a champ at helping us pay for a bill for a table of 12 people.
They also accommodated my husband’s allergies and were really top notch about it.
We got to St. Andrew’s by way of train, we pulled in to the Luechers train stop and then took the bus to St. Andrews, the bus stops directly at a bus stop right down the road from the hotel, and it was a 2 minute walk to the hotel."
"All areas of the accommodation were clean, the only problem we had was the door to the outside area was broken and we could not access this, which was a pity as it would have been nice to sit outside as the weather was excellent. Everything else down to the staff was great, a super place to stay, although it was impossible to get Uber or a Taxi into town, luckily we had a friend who lived in town and he rescued us, there is a bus which goes into town 6minutes past the hour outside the apartments."
"Carnoustie hotel is an excellent golf accommodation at a very reasonable cost. We had views over the first tee box and 18th green and enjoyed that view every morning and evening. Staff was very helpful."
"Lovely stay above a pub, music went on until midnight however the band were pretty good and we didn’t mind!
We had stunning views across the harbour from our room.
Comfy bed, nice breakfast!"
Hostels are a great way to stay for a good value, so you can save more for fun things to do. The sea views create an appealing natural setting, and you can enjoy attractions like the waterfront.
