Quaint chalet in the idyllic Valais mountain village Grimentz. Modern furnished living area with old soapstone stove and adjoining kitchen area. Partly overbuilt with a gallery (2 sleeps and library). 3 bedrooms of 2 beds, 2 shower rooms. Terrace and meadow, balcony (southwest facing). TV, radio, CD, internet (W-LAN), free of charge.
Fantastic view from the chalet to the center, opposite villages and the Weisshorn (4505m).
The house is managed in the four star category.
The chalet is directly accessible by car, 3 parking spaces. Bus stop, gondola station and center are about 500m away. All shops / restaurants are within walking distance.

In winter a total of 220km downhill trails - according to ADAC insider tip. Free ski bus stops directly above the chalet.

In summer wonderful hiking trails in all directions directly from the front door.
In the autumn magic colors between the glacier (valley exit over Grimentz) and vineyards (Rhone valley).

The town is a great location.
The house was very cozey, and convenient location. However the communication between the hostes and I were poor. As I was only told as that we need to bring our own towels and linen for bedding after we had arrive and I asked where it was!!! Very inconvenient trying to find these items in a small town, let alone after 7pm also!! Other then that, it's a lovely place to stay!!

Great location. Easy access to lots of sights and amenities.
The Chalet provided all that our family of four needed - and lots of room to spare. I would recommend it to anyone. The only confusion we had is that the owner does not provide towels and sheets, so we had to pay extra for a local Chalet service to provide them as we obviously weren't going to pack towels and sheets from the U.S.

Great Property, well recommended
The property was in a great location with great views. This was probably the warmest place that we have stayed at that had character to the property. The 500 meter walk to the ski lifts did feel a lot longer when you have young children, and you are carrying the skis's and poles and walking in your skiing boots, we opted for someone driving us to the Gondolla which was about a 30 second drive or a 8 minute walk. Eating out and drinking out is very expensive here, even buying the ingredients from the local shops was quite expensive, so if you are self catering i would say take your own food with you, 2 chicken breasts were 10 Francs (about £8.00) Eating on the mountain, 21 francs for a burger and chips and 4.70 Francs for a small bottle of Fanta, so if you can eat at home all the better. The apartment was lovely, and 1 of our party said the best he had ever stayed in, and would definitely go back again, which is very unusual for him! Overall good experience and can definitely recommend the apartment, the sking is not as good as in France as most of the lifts are either T-Bar's or Button lifts which becomes very tiring for the younger members of the skiing party, but as a bonus to that, the lifts had no queues at them at all, not sure if we were just lucky, but we never waited any more that 4 people in front, so working that out against the lack of runs, i would give the skiing the thumbs up also, if we had french queues to contend with i would probably not been very happy!

Beautifull Village and location
Inrichting huisje erg leuk. Prijs te duur. Erg gehorig. Slaapkamer op benedenverdieping, boven de woonkamer. iedereen wakker indien er iemand al wakker is omdat je elke stap hoort. Vuilnis was niet omschreven hoe te doen maar 1 klein vuilnisbakje in het keukenkastje. Parkeren met twee auto's niet mogelijk. Koelkast kapot dus stond ineens een reparateur om half 8 voor de deur zonder aankondiging.

Prachtige locatie in sfeervol huis
We hebben twee nachten gepauzeerd op onze terugreis van Italië naar Nederland. Gezellig en sfeervol huisje met meer dan genoeg voorzieningen. Echt huiselijk. Mooi uitzicht. Met de kabelbaan omhoog naar Bondella en twee uur teruggewandeld en we bleven maar foto’s maken van de bloemen en uitzichten. Het dorpje is sprookjesachtig. Een aanrader!

La Suisse en toute tranquillité
C’est la déco de fois que nous logeons au chalet qui est fabuleux!! Emplacement idéal, tout le co fort nécessaire pour une famille de 6. Proximité du village à pied ou en navette pour accéder aux pistes de ski. Propreté, confort … tout y est pour des vacances parfaites.

Zeer prettige accommodatie
Wij hebben in het vakantiehuis een hele fijne familie week gehad. Het huis is sfeervol en zeer goed ingericht. Alles wat we nodig hadden was aanwezig. Wat we ook fijn vonden was de veranda waarop we lekker buiten konden zitten. Het enige dat voor ons onduidelijk was was dat er geen handdoeken aanwezig zijn. Maar deze zijn voor ons direct geregeld door dhr Dietrich.

Eine wunderbare Sommerwoche
Wir haben uns als Familie mit Hund in dem Chalet rundum wohlgefühlt. Die Gegend hat viel zu bieten. Die Vermieter waren aussergewöhnlich nett und haben sofort geantwortet, wenn es eine Frage gab.

Wunderwoche in herzigem Chalet
Sehr gut ausgestattetes, herziges Chalet mit Charme. Dank der Haltestelle des Shuttlebus direkt beim Haus ist die Gondelbahn sehr einfach erreichbar - sofern der Bus nicht schon voll ist, wenn er kommt ;-)

Il nous a fallu quelques minutes pour trouver le chalet (sans le nom de celui-ci) mais sinon tout notre séjour s'est agréablement passé. Le chalet est accueillant et passablement proche du centre du village. Le chalet est suffisant pour un groupe de 8 personnes.

Tolles Haus mit herrlicher Aussicht, in urigem schweizer Bergdorf. Ausreichend ausgestattete Küche. Gemütliches, stilvolles Inventar. Unkompliziertes Check in. Einzige Herausforderung ist die Einfahrt aufs Gelände (etwas mehr Bodenfreiheit beim Auto ist von Vorteil)

Gepflegt, jedoch zu knapp für Winterferien
Ich suchte ein Ferienhaus für neun Personen. Das chalet vieu mélèse bietet 9 Schlafplätze an, jedoch sind die Zimmer sehr eng und haben für die Schneesportler keinen Stauraum für die Kleider. Die Schischuhe haben keinen Trockenraum und ebenfalls ein Schiraum ist nicht vorhanden. Im Winter eignet sich das Chalet höchstens für fünf Personen. Auch der Wohnbereich ist für 9 Menschen nicht ausreichend. Für 5 Leute im Sommer ist das Häuschen sehr gut geeignet. Es ist sehr gemütlich und stilvoll eingerichtet. Vielen Dank Marianne Furer

Tolle Bergferien
Wir haben die 7 Ferientage in Grimentz sehr genossen. Täglich waren wir auf Bergwanderungen mit Gratisfahrt von Bergbahn und Postauto. Toll! Wir haben Feines gekocht in der bestens ausgerüsteten Küche. Umschwung des Hauses eher enttäuschend. Im Innern des Hauses fühlten wir uns sehr wohl. Das alte Dorf ist sehr sehenswert.

Hervorragendes Feriendomizil
Uriges, sehr sauberes, gemütliches Chalet mit unglaublich viel Charme. Einrichtung und Ausstattung - es fehlte an Nichts und alle Gebrauchsgegenstände in sehr sauberem und sofort benutzbarem Zustand. Vor allem der Specksteinofen war ein Phänomen - mit ganz wenig Aufwand und Holz viel Wärme und Gemütlichkeit. Jeder der alten Balken im Chalet erzählte ein Stück Walliser Geschichte, welche wir in der umfangreichen Bibliothek auch noch nachlesen konnte ---> u.a. ist der "erzählende Rotten" seit wenigen Tagen auch in unserem Besitz (Dank des Berner "Bücher Eule"-Antiquariats). Der Weg in den Ort nicht weit - und die Aussicht vom Chalet mit akustischer Untermahlung durch die Kirchenglocken auch unübertroffen. Das Chalet ist unbedingt zu empfehlen!!

De woning is prachtig gelegen en uitstekend uitgerust, zeer compleet.
Het Chalet is uitstekend geschikt voor 6 personen. De bedden op de vide zijn via een stijle trap lastig te bereiken voor volwassenen, het plafond is laag. Lakens ed zijn te bestellen via de eigenaar (bij AC Services in het dorp) en zijn niet in de prijs inbegrepen. Duidelijker informatie hierover is wenselijk. Informatie over de sleutel moest via de eigenaar worden verkregen en werd niet enkele dagen tevoren door de agence verstrekt. Verder waren wij heel erg tevreden over het chalet !

Charmant vieux chalet de Grimentz
Le Vieux Mélèze est vraiment charmant, très confortable est idéalement situé à 10 minutes à pied des télécabines et également à 10 minutes de la Coop pour faire toutes les courses. Les 3 chambres, la mezzanine et les deux salles de bain permettent d'être très confortable à 8 personnes, pour faire la cuisine, il y a aussi tout ce qu'il faut. La seule chose qu'il faut savoir est que ni les draps, ni les linges de bain ne sont compris, par contre la gérance qui s'occupe du chalet en fournit sans problème. Bref, nous reviendrons, merci :)
