"Wonderful stay at the Mitsis Royal Mare, the room and facilities were elegant and perfectly maintained and all staff were lovely and welcoming. We found the food in the themed restaurants great, maybe they could improve the food options for the main restaurant, especially for vegetarian guests. As in many resorts in Crete there were few stray cats and it was nice to notice one of the staff leaving some food and water available for them. Manager Manos runs around all day making sure everything is running smoothly in all areas to taking orders, clearing off plates efficiently, booking dinner reservations, etc all with a bubbling smile.
