"Whilst the room was nice, it was very warm when I arrived (turned off the heating and opened the door and window, ant it room atleast an hour to cool down to sub 24 degrees) the hot water for the shower lasted all of about 3 minutes, the first day I put this down to leaving at a peak time (quite a few others left, and I turned the shower on while I brushed my teeth, so dismissed this as my error) however the next day I got up even earlier, and it ran cold even faster. Sadly I was leaving before anyone was up to deal with, but also, not really sure how they’d sort this at very short notice had I been able to bring it up. Car park is small and busy - but this is disclosed, and there is a car park around the corner that’s free after 8pm, so no big issue really. Bed was comfortable, and area was fairly quiet. If they can sort the hot water issue, then it’ll an ok place to stay, for the money. "

"Our family enjoyed a comfortable stay at the cottage with all the amenities we required. The check in time of 5pm made our first day very short but we settled in quickly thanks to the information on the web portal. Breakfast in the conservatory, watching the goldfinches and robins, was the highlight for us. The water was slow to drain in the shower especially after a few consecutive shower users. Fine weather meant we were out and about for the day. Overall - good."

"We had a great time staying at the property. It was clean and very charming. The welcome card and pack was very much appreciated. We had a great time on the tiky tab in the garden. If you use it give yourself at least 2 hours for.the fire to warm the water but when done , bathing under the stars was something different. Another property on the short list for us to come back to."

The welcome pack for us and our dogs was incredibly thoughtful, and the fresh flowers were a beautiful touch that made the cottage feel so inviting.The cottage itself was spotless, beautifully presented, and had absolutely everything we needed for our stay. It genuinely felt like a home from home — comfortable, cosy, and very well equipped.The location is stunning, peaceful, and surrounded by beautiful scenery. The two enclosed dog fields were absolutely perfect for us and a huge bonus, as our dogs loved having the space to run around safely.Janet and Mark were fantastic hosts throughout and so welcoming, even when we had a little mishap with the key!We loved every minute of our stay, and our dogs did too.
