A good location very comfortable with Aircon makes such a difference during the heat wave I’ve been working in an area and I highly recommend.

Pleasant overnight experience

A very straightforward stay, it was nice to have had somewhere nice, well located and quiet/relaxing to stay. I didn't have breakfast or any hotel meals so I cannot comment that far!

It will be even better when bar and restaurant is back in commission. If you walk into Andover (15 mins) there is a footpath all the way but you do need a torch for the final stretch on Micheldever Rd, because the street lights finish.

fine for an overnight stay

The room was in the annex. There is no lift to the upstairs. Good amount of parking. Room was clean and pleasant. At breakfast the water for the hot drinks was not hot enough for making a good cup of tea. Also there were no boiled eggs and when we asked the lady said i keep asking the chef but there are none. I would say there was a fair selection of breakfast foods.

Great stay, bathroom was cosy, toilet to close to radiator which was hot! Difficult to reach toilet roll holder which was tucked behind the toilet and hot radiator otherwise a lovely quiet room and good stay

Lovely but with room for improvements

Lovely location. Staff are friendly and helpful. Room was lovely. Ac didnt work properly, bathroom could be upgraded as there was a massive crack in the sink and the shower was with a curtain. The flooring was peeling up also. On our last morning we got woken up at 7am by the beer delivery. Didnt like that one bit! Over all lovely stay.

It was a lovely clean room,with air con,only problem I found was the curtains were hanging off the wall.Apart from that I was happy to stay there. The bar and restaurant were closed for refurbishment which I wasn’t aware of,however it maybe on the booking site and I must of missed it.

The place was excellent. Friendly, helpful staff full of beautiful people. 15 minutes from Stone Hinge. Andover is a friendly small town with great local pubs. Everyone we met were extremely hospitable. Would definitely return and recommend!

Quaint Old World Feel Hotel

Overnight stop and picked hotel at random. On arrival found old school BW which was, probably, a family run hotel back in the day. Lots of character, e.g. the breakfast room that was a vaulted ballroom/function room overlooking the garden, with original features and spotlessly clean and tidy. This is not a cut and paste could be anywhere chain hotel and would happily use again, also was remarkably good value for bed and breakfast.

Good value, convenient location, helpful staff, tired room which was dated and smelly. Biggest issue the mattress was very uncomfortable and needs replacing!

NO bar or restaurant!

Comfortable and clean rooms with normal room fascilities. The staff are excellent. There is NO bar and NO restarant for food except for a continental breakfast. The website says there is a bar and restaurant but they have been closed for a couple of years apparently.

When we entered our room it was far too hot even when window was open,but reception staff came with remote control to adjust temperature.We knew that there wasn’t a restaurant so we walked into town and decided to buy some picnic food and had a picnic in the hotel grounds.The breakfast was adequate,staff helpful,room,small but ok and bed comfortable,and for the price good value.

Clean room, comfortable bed. Shower was really good, but the shower curtain not. It’s tacky these days. Dead flower baskets outside need to be removed. The exterior really needs a refurbishment. It worked well overall given the price point we and came out alive!
