The best area to stay in Andalucía, Valle del Cauca, is the town centre itself, particularly around the Parque Principal Bolívar.

This area is the heart of Andalucía, offering a convenient and pleasant base for visitors. The Parque Principal Bolívar is a well-maintained central square, often bustling with local life, surrounded by the main church, municipal buildings, and various shops and eateries. The streets immediately surrounding the park are easy to navigate and provide access to most of the town's amenities.

For couples looking for a relaxed and authentic experience, staying near the Parque Principal Bolívar is ideal. You'll find a selection of guesthouses and small hotels within walking distance of local restaurants serving traditional Colombian cuisine and charming cafes where you can enjoy a morning coffee. The park itself is a lovely spot for an evening stroll.

Solo travellers will also find the town centre a good fit. Its central location means easy access to local bus routes if you plan to explore the surrounding Valle del Cauca region.

The best time to visit Andalucía is during the dry season, which runs from December to March, and then again from July to August.

During the December to March period, you'll experience pleasant, warm weather with less humidity, making it ideal for exploring the coffee plantations and outdoor activities. This is also a popular time for local festivals, offering a chance to see local traditions.

The July and August months also offer dry conditions, though temperatures can be a bit warmer. This period is great for those who prefer hotter weather and want to enjoy the full warmth of the region.
