About this property
Sea Wolf Inn, A little bit of Home right here in Alaska.
This lovely little Kool and Quiet retreat on the edge of downtown, is only 5 blocks from the Anchorage Museum. A $7.00 cab ride or nice walk will get you 10 blocks to the heart of Downtown and all the restaurants, activities and art galleries. There is a small set of stairs leading down to your private daylight basement garden apartment, it has 8 foot ceilings and plenty of "full size" windows and a kitchen. There is wall to wall carpeting so please "remove your shoes at the door" and enjoy your stay. Had enough of all the tours and sights, grab a good book from the small library and relax in the backyard while you catch some rays. The photos were taken at the hight of summer, if you arrive at a different time of year, the backyard will be, different in the winter there will be lots of snow. We strive to make everything as comfortable as possible and are constantly upgrading.

This is a separate 1 bedroom basement apartment that is well located and very cozy. Lisa made great efforts to answer our questions and enhance our stay with recommendations.
My husband and I had a wonderful time! It felt incredibly homey and welcoming. Lisa gave us great advice on places to go, and great food too!

Charming little apartment right in the middle of everything. Lisa made us feel like we were visiting family with how cozy, clean and comfortable everything was. Loved our visit and would definitely stay again.

This is the nicest place to stay! Lisa has everything that you might want, including a variety of kitchen utensils, pots and pans, dishes, even scissors and tape. It’s clean, quiet and comfortable. I’d be happy to stay there again.

We stayed at the Sea Wolf Inn for five nights. It was perfect for us. The apartment has a kitchen for those who like to take a break from restaurants. It is well stocked with all the supplies you have at home. It is on a quiet, neighborhood street. It is walkable to downtown. And Lisa is an excellent host. She has tons of advice and information. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and we highly recommend Sea Wolf.
Lisa was incredibly generous in so many ways going above and beyond to make sure we were safe and comfortable. Place was clean, well equipped, and comfortable. The hot water and shower pressure was amazing after walking the icy streets of Anchorage.
We were so impressed with our host; her hospitality was the best we have seen! The Sea Wolf Inn was the perfec "home base" for all of our activities in Achorage and the surrounding areas. We will definitely recommend this place and return ourselves! It truly was "a bit of home in Alaska". Thank you so much!
The Sea Wolf Inn is like described: a bit of home. It had all the ameneties you may need and more. Lisa was a gracious host and stocked the place with snacks, drinks and brochures for just about every activity. We had no issues or complaints.
This funky little property isn’t the easiest to find…but Lisa sent us great directions…and met us in the driveway. The apartment is a great home away from home…with everything you’ll need. It’s very close to downtown and lots of bars and restaurants. Lisa was the best host…giving us great info about Anchorage…Alaska…and stuff to do. It was a fun place to stay.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Anchorage and this little residence. The bed was comfortable. Water pressure was great. My only feedback is it would be awesome to have a slightly bigger, coffee maker. My husband and I are huge coffee drinkers, so having to make two pots was not my favorite thing, but it wouldn’t stop me from staying here again I absolutely loved it
Lisa goes above and beyond to make sure her guests feel welcomed. Our plane was arriving late and then was delayed even more and still she met us at the gate. She has included maps and lots of small amenities to make you feel at home. A perfect little place for two or three people to sleep between adventures!
The apartment is clean and comfortable with fun, eclectic decor. The bed was comfortable, linens nice and the ability to adjust the temperature was perfect. Lisa is an amazing hostess and her attention to detail made our stay incredible. She went above and beyond in helping to orientate us prior to our trip to ensure we made the most of the Fur Rondy. She even left out programs and maps to help us get going as soon as we arrived. In every way she made the stay welcoming and memorable.
This cozy little apartment served as our home away from home on 3 different occasions during our recent drive/train trip to Alaska. Each time we were there, Lisa came out to greet us with open arms like a long, lost relative. The apartment was warm, cozy, spacious and well equipped with a good-sized kitchen, plenty of coffee and tea supplies, some breakfast items, and all the pans and utensils needed to make a meal. Carr’s, the local Safeway affiliate, is a short walk away. Downtown is about a mile away, so a pleasant walk through the nearby Delaney Park to reach several nice restaurants. Lisa has loads of solid recommendations. It was early in the season (late May), so her garden wasn’t in full bloom yet, but she has tables and chairs set up outside to enjoy the clean Alaskan air even now. We highly recommend this location, and we’ll surely stay with Lisa again when we return.
Lisa has put together a nice apartment in her basement. Its a single bedroom with a full bath, living room and kitchen. Its easily enough space for 2.
Pros would be the amenities, a full kitchen was nice. The back yard was cute, i enjoyed smoking at her table and looking around at all the plants and flowers, the rose to the left of the house smells great. The parking in the alley was convienient. At our request Lisa allowed us to use the laundry area and that was a big win for us as we didnt pack many outfits.
Cons: Noise from the neighbors and Lisa when she was home. At times the neighbor was doing some work on a motorcycle which involved it idling and reving the engine. When Lisa was home her movements were a little noticable, not bad though.
Overall we would come again.
This quaint, clean, well appointed apartment was just as advertised. Lisa was a great host and communicated with me throughout. The place is loaded with kitchen items like pots, pans, utensils, cups, glasses, etc. Anything you need to cook with. There is fresh ground coffee and a few drinks in the refrigerator waiting for you. She is very thoughtful and makes you feel at home the moment you walk in. Comfy bed too. The WiFi can be a bit spotty sometimes but we wanted to be outside exploring more than surfing the internet so it wasn’t that big of a deal.
My wife and I walked to downtown. It is less than a mile and the weather was good. Whenever we needed an Uber it was easy to get one quickly. Lisa left a map with places marked off that she suggested. We enjoyed 49th State brewery for dinner and drinks as well as AK Alchemist (much smaller place but good halibut tacos and beer). We also took an Uber down to Middle way cafe for brunch. That place was great with food options for any diet.
The backyard at the apartment has all kinds of beautiful things growing and little birds coming to the bird bath. Just an all around great experience.
