We loved our stay in Eagle River. It is conveniently located close to the highway and a quick walk to downtown Eagle River. It is located in a quiet neighborhood, comfortable beds and a BBQ. The host responded very quickly with questions we had. We will stay there again when returning to AK!
This home is very welcoming and easy access to major roads. We enjoyed the property and amenities provided. Great home for a comfortable stay prior to our southbound cruise.
This may have been an older house but felt like home. Everything you can think of was provided. It was super welcoming! Absolutely enjoyed our stay in this house. By far the best property we have been to.
Felt like home. Easily accommodated my family of five (20, 19, 17). Great location to serve as home base for heading out to explore. The host was very responsive. There were nice touches within the home like a coffee bar, great movie collection of both VHS and DVD among other nice to haves…. I would recommend staying here for your Alaska exploration.
This is the best place we stayed during our Alaska trip! The House is comfy, neat and full of supplies. I also like the art works in the house. It is actually better than the pictures seen from Vrbo, which is rare. I will stay here again if I come back.
Great location, comfortable and clean property, accommodating host
Really convenient location in a quiet Eagle River neighborhood with quick access to the highway. The home is comfy and clean with many amenities and outside garden areas are lovely. The host responds quickly to questions and is friendly and accommodating.
Wonderful start to our much anticipated Alaskan adventure. The home was very well stocked with all the amenities that we could want! Clean, comfortable and quiet. Would love to stay there again.
We enjoyed this cozy house, which happens to be fun the street from the family members we came to visit for Christmas. Communication was great and the house is comfortable, cozy, and close to amenities in Eagle River. Odd Man Rush Brewpub around the corner is a local treasure. The neighborhood is walkable and friendly. Already looking forward to the next stay!
My daughter's wedding brought us to Anchorage. My son and his 2 children stayed with my husband and I. I wanted a house with 3 bedrooms and 2 baths, 1 level. The house was PERFECT. Better than the pictures. We lacked nothing.
The Artist's retreat was a delightful place. It felt like we had stepped into the comfort of grandma's house. The beds were comfortable and the home was clean. The kitchen had plenty of accessories for us to cook meals. We enjoyedbthe collection of books, the pianobwith tons of sheet music and the nostalgia of the VHS player and tapes. The hosts were extremely responsive and provided everything we asked for and assisted immediately when i had trouble accessing the property at check in.
Fully stocked supply pantry: Kleenex, napkins, toilet paper, soaps, shampoos. Very Clean. Great instructions in a three-ring binder along with local restaurants and menus.
Very functional and organized kitchen which was great for breakfast and lunch. Also provided coffees and teas.
Easy drive into Anchorage. Eagle River was a cute community.
Just what I expected for a Vrbo!
We enjoyed our stay at Artist’s Retreat very much! Stayed for a couple of night before driving to Whittier to board our cruise ship. Cozy decor with so many thoughtful touches throughout the home. Kim has thought of everything! There was something that spoke to each of us that stayed, and we were a group of two 70+ year olds, two 40-something’s and an 18 year old. From the books and movie selections, the basket of throws and the coffee/tea bar. We had everything we needed during our stay! 15 minute drive from the airport but it is a beautiful drive and Eagle River has anything you might need. Only suggestions I would have would be to put screens on the windows so the fresh air can come in and blackout curtains. We are not used to daylight at midnight! We would definitely recommend this rental!!
What a fabulous place to call our home base for the first leg of our Alaska trip!!! Everything from kitchen to bathroom was well stocked with everything I could ask for and more. Awesome neighborhood and a brewery within walking distance and perfect kitchen table for playing games with friends while waiting for the sun to set. Will definitely book again in the future!!!!
Older home in quiet neighborhood. The home was outfitted with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It is close to several grocery stores. We took day trips to surrounding areas and enjoyed the breathtaking scenery. This home was a good choice!
Loved this property. Quite area. Well kept in and out. Very nicely equipped in kitchen, with some basic breakfast items included (coffee, tea, etc). The laundry room (and detergent) were a welcome convenience. Wish we could have stayed longer and gotten a chance to enjoy some of the videos, and perhaps used the grill. Communications and attention to detail from the host was top notch.Definitely recommend staying at this property!
This home has a very homey feeling from entering to leaving. You can see the mountains as u step out the front door. The home has its rustic ambience with the decor of a cabin. It has everything u can think to need in a vacation rental, more than you expect. The owners do respond quickly to any questions. It was so homely and comfortable, it was hard to leave. There was even blankets in the living room for comfort while watching TV for warmth. We truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay there again. Thank you for allowing to stay in your home. We truly enjoyed the stay
The Artists Ranch was our first VRBO experience - if this is what they're all like, great job! TAR's owner Kim was super-prompt in responding to all inquiries and, when an oven had a smoking issue, she was ready to address it immediately.Given that we traveled 3400 miles, there was no way we could bring all the extra doodads we all use at home, and it would've been both costly and wasteful to buy them locally just for two weeks' use. Not to worry - TAR is EXTREMELY well outfitted with almost anything you can imagine. Food scale, coffee grinder, food processor...you name it, Kim has thought of it.The property is beautifully maintained, and well stocked with paper goods, ziploc bags...the list goes on. Not to mention it's super-easy to get on/off Rte 1, and you're just a 4- minute drive to a great coffee shop!HIGHLY recommend that you look at this place!
